About Lindsay Hoyt Lindsay Hoyt is the founder and governing board chair of the Cornerstone Classical Academy, now in it’s third year as a K-8th grade classical, free-to-attend charter school in Duval County. Cornerstone currently serves 850 students, and they have a wait-list of 450 eager to enroll next year, when Cornerstone will add its first 9th grade class.

For 5 years, until selling the company, Lindsay was co-owner of an electronics company serving the US, Europe and Australia. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Lindsay had 10+ years experience in sales and talent acquisition after making a career switch from conservative movement politics in Washington, DC, where she worked in fund-raising, media, and grassroots mobilization for respected conservative groups including Eagle Forum, Concerned Women for America, and The Leadership Institute.

Born and raised in Neptune Beach, Lindsay has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida. She and her husband, David, met when both worked at The Leadership Institute. They now have two daughters, Virginia, age 9, and Blakely, age 6, who make life all the more lively, meaningful, and blessed.
