President Donald Trump won bigly in Iowa tonight, the nation’s first 2024 election primary, easily shattering the all-time record for percentage of the vote garnered. His vote percentage total was 52% last time we looked. Will update later.
Others: Ron DeSantis- 20%, Nimrata Haley 18.7% , Vivek Ramaswami- 7/7%, Asa Huthinson- .2%
Terrible weather inhibited campaigning and caucusing turnouts.
Our best guess is that the top three candidates will stay in for the time being. Ramaswamy doesn’t have much of a chance, but may stay in just to get his message out, We’ll see what his donors and campaign staff have to say about that.
History has shown that you don’t have to win the Iowa primary to get nominated, but you need to make a good showing. Ordinarily, someone with Trump’s numbers would have a high likelihood, but his unprecedented, extraordinary legal problems created by his political enemies have an uncertain outcome , although teg cases are a stretch.

Percentage numbers are about the same with 97% in. How come they can do it so fast and it takes some states weeks?
