Unsurprisingly, Trump dominated the FL GOP Presidential primary. Last time we looked, with 86% of the vote in, he had 81% of the vote (82.7% in Nassau County), with Nimarata Haley at 13% and Ron DeSantis 3.7%. Since he had already clinched the delegates for nomination, since people knew he would win FL and no other races were on the ballot, incentive to vote was not all that strong. Turnout was only about 20+% (5.1 million GOP-registered voters), with a little over a million votes counted so far.
The Democrats had decided not to hold a primary.
3-20-24: It remains to be seen how the threat of confiscation of much of Trump’s assets could affect the campaign. A lone judge declared him guilty in a questionable ruling without even hearing all of the evidence, then let a jury decide how much he should pay. Trump was not allowed to have an appeal hearing before this unprecedented move.
