The Trump campaign people and Trump himself said that they would offset the level of election fraud by making their victorious vote “Too Big to Rig,” meaning that the sheer volume of Trump votes would overwhelm the fraudulent “stolen” votes- and they did.
Several indicators suggest that the level of fraud wasn’t as high this time: 1)- Some new election laws and court decisions close off some fraud in some states. 2)- Vote percentages for Trump came in close- actually higher- than the most accurate polls. 3)- Fewer fraud reports and bizarre anomalies, such as the huge 2020 upsurge in Biden votes after an unexplained 5 hour late night cessation of count reports from 5 key swing states. 4)- Neither candidate in this hotly contested 2024 race had anything approaching the outlandish 81 million claimed Biden votes for such an unimpressive, unpopular candidate who campaigned minimally. 5)- The usual widespread claims from both sides of a “stolen election” are not arising. 6)- The level of election surveillance was unsurpassed at a national level.
But the most surprising thing is the shift in who voted for him. An analysis appearing in the Epoch Times contradicts most of the Democrat tropes about Trump voter demographics- read: https://www.theepochtimes.com/article/understanding-the-demographic-shift-that-pushed-trump-to-victory-5755489. The chart at the top of this article neatly summarizes much of that article.
What it indicates is that the Republican party electorate under Trump has shifted away from the stereotype of rich white capitalist elites to something broader. Make no mistake, without the large shift of black, Hispanic, women and younger/first time voters toward Trump and the Republicans, their landslide electoral victory simply could not have occurred. He even won the popular vote, something no Republican presidential candidate has done since George W. Bush in 2004. The chart doesn’t indicate it, but Trump also pulled in many more moderate Democrats, even as it lost some establishment Republicans- The Bushes, Romneys and Cheneys are examples. Having Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr., Elon Musk and moderate Republicans who once opposed him, such as Nikki Haley, now supporting him- even campaigning for him- really made people sit up and take notice.
That he did all of this under the heaviest and constant brutal attack ever from the left, establishment elites and nearly unanimous so-called “Mainstream” Media, makes the accomplishment that much more meaningful. It is a giant rebuke from Middle America to those folks, to be ignored only at their peril. This marks a huge shift in American politics, which has been building since the Tea Party days (2009 and moving forward) to the beginning of the Trump era (since his campaign stated in 2015), but only noted by most after his 2016 and 2024 victories.
The fact is that they voted anyway for a candidate who had been twice impeached, charged and convicted of dozens of offenses, labeled a convicted felon by top media and political figures, called a fascist, “literally Hitler” and a rapist. It may be because most voters saw right through the lies and no longer believe said vaunted media and politicos who have been attempting to brainwash them 24/7/365 for many years.
Another reason for the “Too Big to Rig” victory was the sheer volume and creativity of the Trump campaign. It is safe to say that no political candidate for any office ever has been exposed live in person to as many voters. The number of live rallies- most huge- some with up to 75-100 thousand attendees and TV shows, interviews and special events he has done are unequaled- anytime, anywhere, by anyone- ever. All this was done on less than half the budget of the Harris and Biden campaigns- a multi-billion dollar bonanza. They were ingenious in getting free publicity with great gimmicks- the MacDonalds apprenticeship, The MAGA garbage truck, the omnipresent “TrumpForce 1″ jet, the videos, memes and infamous Tweets mocking the Democrats/Harris/Biden, interviews by high visibility media people like Tucker Carlson, Meghan Kelly, & Joe Rogan, hammering away on key issues- economy/debt/spending/border/social issues, to name just a few.” These exposures of Trump as more human, smart, clever and compassionate than media presentations went a long way to making him more acceptable to voters. Having a smart young, nimble, charismatic Millennial VP candidate J.D. Vance sure didn’t hurt either. Still another good choice.
The ones who switched to Trump were in many cases turned off and flipped allegiance also because of record Biden/Harris era inflation, deficits, waves of illegal aliens, increasing crime, drugs, objectionable social policies, foreign wars, illegal government acts, and more. Many seemed appalled at the poor leadership, mental and moral shortcomings. Surveys show that the biggest issues are the economy and immigration, harkening back to Bill Clinton’s 1990’s observation; “it’s the economy, stupid.” Running against two, unlikeable, unimpressive, poor performing candidates proved to be an advantage. Why would the Democrats do something that stupid? As amazing as the electoral shift is, given the performance and abilities of Biden/Harris, far more voters should have flipped.
