Ken Timmerman’s Threat Watch, www.kentimmerman.com, 1-26-24

The UN’s International Court of Justice today issued a provisional order in the case brought by South Africa against Israel, instructing the Jewish state to “refrain from acts that could lead to genocide” against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Since this was a declarative judgment, not an operative one, it contained no order for Israel to stop the fighting, nor did it actually condemn Israel for conducting a “genocide” against the Palestinian people, as South Africa and its allies had sought.

But let’s pause for a minute and let this sink in. Here you have the United Nations, which was created out of the ashes of Hitler’s Holocaust against the Jewish people, condemning Israel for civilian casualties in Gaza while saying nothing about Hamas, which launched an openly-genocidal campaign to kill every Jew in Israel on October 7.

Let’s also remember that those Palestinian civilian casualties – whose numbers the world receives from the mouths of Hamas Health officials – have been caused to a large degree by Hamas itself, which has a policy of using civilians as human shields to protect its military assets. Israel has lost nearly two hundred IDF soldiers in Gaza by conducting its operations in ways designed to minimize civilian casualties. (Someone might ask Vladimir Putin what that looks like).

Adding to the obscenity of the ICJ decision was the timing: it was announced on the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is tomorrow, January 27.

In the paper I wrote on Israel’s war of survival and the end of the two state solution, published this week by the America First Policy Institute, I explain why this war is unlike earlier wars Israel has fought, and why I believe Prime Minister Netanyahu is right that Israel has no choice but to fight until victory.

Israel cannot allow the international community once again to intervene to save the mass-murderers whose goal is to massacre every Jew in Israel. To stop fighting now, before Hamas has been destroyed, would mean that the more than 626 Israeli security forces and 1200 Israeli civilians killed so far had died in vain.

In this week’s Prophecy Today Weekend, I also discuss China’s hypocritical approach to international maritime security, protesting US efforts to maintain free passage through the Taiwan Strait while offering to reduce tensions in the Red Sea, where its own trade has been threatened by its ally, the Islamic State of Iran.

And with Donald Trump now the near-certain Republican nominee, we also talk about growing fears among the European elites that America will stop giving them a free ride at NATO, and about America’s open borders, which I call Joe Biden’s signature national security policy.
