Happy Mothers Day to all mothers. We salute you.
A sage once said that “The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world*.” This refers to the truth that mothers have traditionally been the closest to young children in their formative years and play the most important role in their development and setting of values. Fathers too- sometimes observed more in the breach than practice.
Certain forces are attempting to change that and substitute government, media, even NGO’s, as those pivotal influences. Citizens Journal Florida supports the healthy nuclear family as the the most important and rightful influencer of children. Family, faith, friends, should determine that development. Schools, government, media, NGO’s, should support those values or families should look elsewhere for help. Forget about “a village” making those decisions.
