On Saturday June 29, 2024, the Christian Heritage of America Parade is coming to Centre Street, Fernandina Beach! We will be honoring American Independence, and our great Christian heritage!

There are many parades on Amelia Island. We have a Shrimp parade, a Veterans parade, a gay pride parade, an MLK day parade and others. But we believe that it is time to honor America and her Christian heritage on the Fourth of July Weekend.
America has a great Christian heritage. Christopher Columbus, the first Christian American, was a devout Christian who wanted to share the Gospel with the New World. The Pilgrims said that they came here for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith. George Washington, the Father of our country, was a devout Christian, whose prayers and leadership led to victory in the Revolutionary War. The vast majority of our Founding Fathers were Christians, and many were Christian ministers. Our Declaration of Independence and Constitution were both founded on Biblical and Christian principles and values. The prayers of Abraham Lincoln led to the end of slavery and victory in the Civil War. The prayers of Franklin Roosevelt and George Patton led to victory in World War Two. We believe that it is time to honor this great heritage.
We are inviting churches and schools and civic groups and all businesses that share our faith to come out and join in this great parade, rain or shine. There is a flyer, URL and QR code with this article. If you scan the QR code it will take you to the parade registration form, where you can sign the statement of faith, release of liability and pay the $25 registration fee by credit card.
We want floats, and cars, and trucks and vans and marchers and marching bands. All participants will be given American flags to fly from their car windows. Please wear patriotic colors – red, white and blue. And feel free to dress up like Columbus or Washington or other Founding Fathers! This is the day to honor America, the greatest nation in the history of the world, and her Christian heritage!
