There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: election, Trump trials, immigration, wars, massive orchestrated ‘Palestine’ protests/riots, weaponization of government, our nation going bankrupt, massive inflation, phony climate change controversy and related expenses of government/industry attempting to address these issues, and the Chinese threat. So here are just a few:

Data Analysis Confirms That Anti-Israel Protests “Are Overwhelmingly an Elite College Phenomenon”
The anti-Israel, anti-American, anti-western, anti-capitalist, pro-Hamas, ‘by any means necessary’ campus protests and Tentifadas are not a working-class movement. This is a movement of elite kids at elite schools. Those casual observations are substantiated by a deep analysis by the left-leaning Washington Monthly (WM). Using data from Harvard’s Crowd Counting Consortium and news reports of encampments, matching information on every institution of higher education that has had pro-Palestinian protest activity (starting when the war broke out in October until early May) to the colleges in our 2023 college rankings. Of the 1,421 public and private nonprofit colleges that were ranked, 318 have had protests and 123 have had encampments. Here’s the key conclusion – richer kids have the luxury of protesting, working class kids don’t. Whatever the cause, the pattern is clear: Pro-Palestinian protests are overwhelmingly an elite college phenomenon.

Lawsuit Threat Forces Biden Officials to Reverse Denial of Memorial Day Mass at National Cemetery
The National Park Service – which falls under the control of the Biden administration – denied a permit to the Knights of Columbus, a fraternal order of Catholic men, to celebrate a Memorial Day mass at a popular national cemetery. To their credit, the Knights fought back by suing the National Park Service, including petitioning the court to grant a temporary restraining order against the NPS. Lo and behold, after apparently considering the consequences of losing the lawsuit and setting a precedent, Biden administration officials granted a permit to allow the mass to take place on the cemetery grounds.

Biden’s Got a Big Problem: 28 Delegates Now ‘Uncommitted’
As President Joe Biden approaches a rematch with former President Donald Trump, Democrats are sending a message of dissatisfaction to their own incumbent. Throughout the primary season, activists have urged Democrats to vote “uncommitted” in presidential primaries to show the clout of the pro-Palestinian wing of the party. In Kentucky, that resulted in almost 18 percent of voters picking “uncommitted,” enough to send five delegates to the Democratic National Convention, according to The Hill.

President Trump Comforts Gold Star Families at NASCAR Race on Memorial Day Weekend
At today’s Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, President Trump met with Gold Star military families who were guests of the event this Memorial Day weekend. President Trump will launch “Veterans and Military Families for Trump” on Sunday. He already has 175 endorsements. Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Gold Star family members who lost loved ones at the Kabul Airport during Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal, say Joe Biden never called to console them.

‘Squad’ Members Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush Confuse Memorial Day with Veterans Day
“Squad” members Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Cori Bush (D-MO) appeared to confuse Memorial Day — a day to honor fallen American service members — with Veterans Day, a day to honor those who have served.
Omar posted on X from her congressional account: “On #MemorialDay, we honor the heroic men and women who served our country. We owe them more than our gratitude — they have more than earned access to quality mental health services, job opportunities, housing assistance, and the benefits they were promised.”
Bush posted on her congressional X account: “This #MemorialDay & every day, we honor our veterans in St. Louis. We must invest in universal health care, affordable housing, comprehensive mental health services, and educational & economic opportunities for our veterans as we work to build a world free of war and violence.”
After both received flak from X users for not knowing the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, they deleted their posts.

Trump NY Trial: Prosecution Gets Last Word in Closing Arguments
(Editor’s note: Jury has started deliberating)
Closing arguments will begin Tuesday in the Manhattan business records trial of former President Donald Trump. The defense will give their closing argument first, with Democrat New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s team to go second. The closing arguments could stretch into a second day.
Trump expressed disagreement with that decision on Truth Social, posting Monday evening: “WHY IS THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT ALLOWED TO MAKE THE FINAL ARGUMENT IN THE CASE AGAINST ME? WHY CAN’T THE DEFENSE GO LAST? BIG ADVANTAGE, VERY UNFAIR. WITCH HUNT!” DJT Trump posted: “Could somebody please ask Judge Merchan, whatever happened to MARK POMERANTZ, the man Alvin Bragg was furious at for the things he did on this contrived and unconstitutional case, and why wasn’t he allowed to testify? Also, why did Judge Merchan not allow Brad Smith, the leading Election Law Expert in the Country, to testify. He would have ended the case quickly by explaining the Law and stating that President Trump did nothing wrong. Likewise, Bob Costello, and all of his direct and irrefutable knowledge, why was he so horribly treated and completely shut down by the Conflicted Judge, and why were his Emails and Text Messages not allowed to be shown…And then, of course, there’s the BIGGEST EVENT OF THEM ALL, but I’m not allowed to talk about it because I’m under an illegal and unconstitutional GAG ORDER. This is the Biden White House at work. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”

China is Reportedly Preparing Large Military Fleet to Invade Taiwan — Expert Predicts Invasion Could Conclude Within an Hour
China has reportedly been making significant preparations for a full-scale invasion of Taiwan, according to The Telegraph. This preparation includes not only military vessels but also an unusual incorporation of civilian ferries, hinting at a large-scale invasion strategy. China carried out a two-day large-scale exercise involving 111 aircraft and 46 naval vessels around Taiwan, signaling a sharp escalation in tensions across the Taiwan Strait, according to VOA News.
It further vowed to intensify its measures until “complete reunification” is accomplished. According to Taiwan’s National Defense Ministry, this marked one of the most provocative maneuvers in recent years, with 82 Chinese military aircraft crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait, edging dangerously close to the territorial boundaries defined by Taiwan.

Top Democratic Party Officials in Full ‘Freakout’ Mode Over Election, Create Lengthy List of Why Biden Will Lose
On Tuesday, Politico reported that the Democratic Party is in a full-blown “freakout” over President Joe Biden’s chances of winning re-election this fall. Despite previously expressing confidence, many high-level Democrats now harbor serious doubts about Biden’s prospects against Trump, according to more than a dozen party leaders and operatives. Trump is leading Biden in most battleground state polls and raked in a record $50.5 million from a single fundraising event last month. An adviser tracking reasons why the president could lose has compiled a list with nearly two dozen factors, from immigration and inflation to the president’s age and Vice President Kamala Harris‘ unpopularity.

Federal Judge Denies Jack Smith’s Request for Gag Order Against Trump
U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Tuesday denied a gag order request submitted by special counsel Jack Smith in former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case. In a paperless order, Judge Cannon denied Mr. Smith’s request without prejudice because, according to her, it is “wholly lacking in substance and professional courtesy.” She added that the special counsel’s motion also “did not adhere to … basic requirements” and that “any future, non-emergency motion brought in this case—whether on the topic of release conditions or anything else—shall not be filed absent meaning

Biden’s Terrorist Aid Pier is Sinking
After spending nearly $400 million to construct a “humanitarian pier” in the Gaza Strip, which President Joe Biden announced during his State of the Union address in March, the formerly floating nightmare is sinking into the sea and operations have been suspended. Last week the pier broke apart and washed up on the beach in Israel. Shortly after the pier broke apart the Pentagon admitted all of the aid distributed from the floating location, which has repeatedly come under attack by Hamas, was stolen by the terrorist organization. The White House has not officially weighed in on the disaster.

Judge Merchan Directs Jury to Choose Among These Three Crimes to Convict Trump – Jurors Don’t Have to Unanimously Agree
President Trump was back in court on Wednesday morning for closing arguments in Alvin Bragg’s ‘hush money’ show trial in New York City. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Trump in April 2023 on 34 felony counts related to ‘hush payments’ he made to Stormy Daniels. Trump was accused of paying porn star Stormy Daniels, AKA, Stephanie Clifford, ‘hush payments’ through his then-attorney Michael Cohen in a scheme to silence her and stop the story about their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer. The jury deliberations began on Wednesday after Judge Merchan instructed them to choose among the three predicate crimes Trump supposedly committed:
1. Violations of federal election law (which no one in that courtroom is familiar with, and the judge specifically prevents Brad Smith from testifying about);
2. The falsification of business records; and
3. Tax violations
Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark said mixing and matching crimes violates every principle of the Due Process Clause. This violates every principle of the Due Process Clause and criminal process known to man. (Or of the Privileges & Immunities Clause according to Justice Thomas’s view.)
