There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: the Trump presidency, immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, Elon Musk’s DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), taxpayer cuts, and Ukraine peace. Here are just a few:

ICE Has Performed More Than 100,000 Deportations Since President Trump Took Office in January
Deportations have reportedly reached more than 100,000 since President Donald Trump took office a second time in January, the news coming as Americans suffer from the aftermath of former President Joe Biden’s (D) disastrous border policies.
The New York Post reported on Monday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have made 113,000 arrests and carried out more than 100,000 deportations, citing a Department of Homeland Security source who spoke with the outlet. An ICE source told the outlet, “He’s doing what he was voted in to do. Point blank!”
“ICE has since ‘maxed out’ its detention space and is asking Congress to fund additional beds to support the Trump administration’s deportation campaign that yielded 32,000 arrests in its first 50 days,” the article added.

‘They Charge Us, We Charge Them’: Trump Reveals Chart of Reciprocal Tariffs
President Donald Trump on Wednesday revealed a chart detailing the reciprocal tariffs he will impose on other countries, saying, “They charge us, we charge them.”
Trump said the European Union is “very tough” and that Europeans “rip us off.” The 47th president said the EU charges the United States 39 percent, so America will charge them 20 percent.
Trump referred to Vietnam as “great negotiators” and “great people” and said the country charges us 90 percent, so America will place reciprocal tariffs of 46 percent.

Report: ‘Shady Trial Lawyer Pipeline’ Funneling Millions To Democrats
One of the country’s leading consumer protection firms released a report today exposing a “shady lawyer pipeline” of politicians handing out lucrative public contracts to trial lawyers, who in turn contribute millions of dollars to liberal political campaigns, including $1.4 million to the Harris-Walz campaign in 2024.
The report, released by Alliance for Consumers (AFC), highlights the deep Democrat ties of eight major consumer protection law firms — Morgan & Morgan, Lieff Cabraser, Motley Rice, Baron & Budd, Grant & Eisenhofer, Berger Montague, Cohen Milstein and Simmons Hanly — which it dubs the “Shady Eight.” According to AFC, these firms hold profitable public contracts across the country and contributed around $25 million in political donations from 2017 through 2024. In 2024 alone, the firms collectively donated $4 million to political campaigns, 99 percent of which were for Democrat candidates or Democrat-allied committees.

General Motors To Expand Production At Indiana Plant Thanks To Trump’s Auto Tariffs
General Motors (GM) plans to expand production at one of its plants in Indiana thanks to President Donald Trump’s tariffs on foreign-made cars. On Wednesday evening, Trump announced a 25 percent tariff on all foreign-made cars to protect the nation’s auto industry from unfair trade competition. GM executives said they will be increasing production of light-duty trucks at the automaker’s Fort Wayne Assembly Plant in Indiana, according to an exclusive report by Reuters on Thursday.
As Breitbart News reported, the United Auto Workers (UAW) have praised Trump’s auto tariffs as a necessary tool to end the nation’s decades-long free trade policy that has “devastated” American auto workers.

Democrat Rep Vows To Work With Trump On Key Part Of Tariff Plan: ‘Hoping That I Can Help’
A moderate Democrat is expressing cautious optimism at President Donald Trump’s stance on tariffs in a stark departure from most of his party’s infuriated reaction. Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, pointed out in a lengthy statement that he himself proposed a 10 percent blanket tariff on U.S. imports earlier this year and said he was happy Trump’s baseline policy was the same – and even publicly pledged to work with Trump on enshrining it in federal law in a subsequent interview with Fox News Digital.
“What I can say now is I’m pleased the president is building his tariff agenda on the foundation of a universal 10 percent tariff like the one I proposed in the BUILT USA Act. This ring fence around the American economy is a good start to erasing our unsustainable trade deficits,” Golden said in his statement.
Trump’s plan involves a 10 percent blanket tariff on all imports into the U.S., as well as tariffs of up to 50 percent on both adversaries and allies.

Tesla Vandal Dragged From Movie Theater, Arrested After Damaging Cyber Truck
Numerous people have been caught damaging Tesla cars and Cyber Trucks as the media and leftist organizations fuel constant attacks on Elon Musk. Conservative activist Asra Nomani compiled a list of 24 Democrat organizations with a budget of $124 million that are behind the #TeslaTakedown campaign of terrorist violence.
Tigran Gertz shared yet another example of violent behavior in San Jose, California, this time with a dash of instant karma. Gertz was parked in a parking garage near his vehicle. A small group emerged from their car parked directly behind him. The group chatted, and then a pink-haired man ran toward the truck and leveled several kicks against the side before lumbering off, leaving his friends behind. Shockingly, Tesla vandals have still not absorbed that the vehicles have multiple cameras capturing their violence.Gertz, who was standing nearby, confronted the man’s friends, who seemed shocked that the owner witnessed the attack.

Jobs Crush Expectations: 228,000 Added In March As Trump Economy Defies Critics
Employers in the United States added 228,000 workers to their payrolls in March, the Department of Labor said Friday, and the unemployment rate inched up to 4.2 percent. Economists had been expecting just 140,000 jobs would be added in March. The climb in the unemployment rate was expected. The private sector’s hiring was much stronger than expected. Economists had forecast 115,000 jobs. Businesses added 209,000 jobs.
The strong jobs number is the latest piece of economic data suggesting the economy remains on a solid footing despite surveys showing gloomy consumer sentiment, rising policy uncertainty, and businesses wary of future economic conditions.

DNC Chair Announces Democrats Are Launching A Shadow Government Called The ‘People’s Cabinet’ To Sabotage Trump’s Agenda
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has announced the launch of a rogue “shadow government” dubbed the People’s Cabinet — a brazen attempt to sabotage President Donald Trump’s America First agenda.
The announcement comes on the heels of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s shocking call for a “shadow government” during a recent town hall in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where he openly advocated for what he called “alternate press conferences” to spin the public with Democrat-approved talking points. Now, DNC Chair Ken Martin is taking that vision a step further, turning it into an official operation.
The so-called People’s Cabinet is being marketed as a group of “experts, leaders, and everyday Americans,” but in reality, it’s a coalition of washed-up leftist bureaucrats, failed politicians, and radical activists who are hellbent on blocking President Trump’s common-sense efforts to restore sanity to the country.

Trump Says ‘Every Country’ Has Called Him Since Tariff Announcement, UK PM ‘Very Happy’ With Being On Minimum Rate
President Donald Trump had “a very good dialogue” with Britain’s Prime Minister, who was “very happy” that his country wasn’t on the U.S. list of punishment tariffs.
The European Union reacted with horror at the United States levying a 20 percent tariff on its exports, a rate twice that of former-member the United Kingdom, which is in the lowest bracket worldwide of ten per cent. The British government has, apart from cursory and general remarks against tariffs in principle, avoided such histrionics, and now President Trump has said he believes the country will have been very happy to get that outcome.
The remarks came on Air Force One on Thursday evening, and saw President Trump reflect on the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer: “…We have a very good dialogue going, and I think he was very happy about how we treated him on tariffs.”

Trump Administration Sends Brutally Honest Response Saying Judge Can’t Undo A Perfectly Good Deportation
The Justice Department filed an application for an emergency stay of an order requiring an adjudicated MS-13 member be brought back to the United States that stopped within inches of calling the district court judge who issued the order a moron. In a tersely worded brief that demolished the entire proceeding, the Justice Department’s brief ridiculed the order by Obama-appointed Judge Paula Xinis to “facilitate and effectuate” Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s return to the US by Monday night, saying: “Because the United States has no control over Abrego Garcia, however, defendants have no independent authority to “effectuate” his return to the United States—any more than they would have the power to follow a court order commanding them to “effectuate” the end of the war in Ukraine, or a return of the hostages from Gaza.”
Garcia, a citizen of El Salvador, who is portrayed as a “Maryland father” in most news reports, entered the US illegally in 2011. In 2019, he was arrested on allegations of membership in the violent Salvadoran gang called Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13. At that time, he applied for political asylum, which was denied. He was given an order of removal, but a judge put his deportation on hold on the grounds that he might be in danger if he returned to El Salvador. In early March, Garcia was arrested and put on a plane to El Salvador and the Terrorist Confinement Facility, CECOT. When White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt reacted by saying, “We suggest the Judge contact [El Salvador’s] President [Nayib] Bukele because we are unaware of the judge having jurisdiction or authority over the country of El Salvador.”

Nolte: Media Fail — Trump Job Approval Rises 4 Points To 53%
President Donald Trump’s job approval rating rose four points during Tariff Week, from 49 percent to 53 percent. The poll was taken by DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners of over 1,000 registered voters between March 31 and April 3. Donald Trump’s four-point jump in job approval was not the only surprise.
Since March 7, Trump’s job approval from young voters between 18 and 29 jumped 13 points. Among Independents and Democrats, Trump enjoyed a six-point increase. Most telling, support from black voters jumped 17 points in a single week.
