It is being called the biggest political coverup in history. It’s worse than Watergate, quoting a favorite line of the liberal national media.
In a scandalous twist, the mainstream media is complicit in this coverup. Instead of reporting objectively on Joe Biden’s cognitive issues, the media has looked the other way like Magic Johnson making a no-look pass.
For four years, the liberal media has hidden the president’s frailty. Even worse, the constitutional watchdog protected Biden and exulted at his physical and mental capabilities – until two weeks ago.
The curtain was pulled back, and the deception unveiled, during Biden’s disturbing presidential debate. The media convulsed, quickly spewing anti-Biden rhetoric in a gagging reflex.
It was so sudden and uniform among liberal newspapers and magazines and television stations that it appeared scripted (it may have been). Unintentionally, they implicated themselves with their harsh reaction.
“The fake news has been complicit in covering up the biggest events in American history,” said Lidia Curanaj, an anchor for conservative Newsmax, “and covering up for Joe’s mental abilities, or lack thereof, is a new low even for them.”
“Instead of telling the truth, finding the facts, being the spokesperson for the people,” Curanaj continued, “they instead became Biden’s propaganda machines.”
There are frightening ramifications to a diminished leader running the U.S. military, especially in an unstable world. The president commands the military and holds the nuclear codes. And allies in Europe and elsewhere rely on the U.S. for protection.
Some say Biden may be a security risk in his current state. A picture of the presidential seal on an aluminum walker appeared on the cover of The Economist magazine this week. The headline read: “Why Biden must withdraw.”
Many contend that Biden is not making the important decisions. They insist that a cabal of unelected officials inside the White House is operating the U.S. government.
Another conservative commentator, Tammy Bruce, asserts these unaccountable bureaucrats lack the aptitude to manage the government. They all panicked over the public revelations about Biden’s condition.
“This is what they thought they could hide — and they couldn’t hide it,” said Bruce, who frequently appears on Fox News. “When you’ve gotten away with so much that you should never have gotten away with, you begin to overestimate yourself.
“It explains why the country is such a disaster, why the world’s a disaster,” continued Bruce. “The same people have been managing the world, have been managing Afghanistan, Iran, Israel. It explains everything.”
Conservative journalists like Bruce and Curanaj have been calling out Biden’s worsening condition for years now. When they did, however, the dominant liberal outlets castigated them. The conservatives are now rejoicing with pride in their work.
Charlie Hurt works for one of the few conservative newspapers in the U.S., The Washington Times. His observations are perceived as balanced, fair, objective, like journalists used to be. “They do look like they’re turning on him,” Hurt said about the media and Biden.
Hurt took offense to a recent report that the White House gave pre-selected questions to several radio stations, for them to ask Biden in an interview. When called out for it, Biden’s protective handlers said they were only making suggestions.
“To me it reveals the depth of the corruption in the media,” Hurt said. “They’ve operated with the White House on these terms for so long that they actually think they can tell reporters the questions they can pick from.”
In comparison, this coverup makes Watergate look like a water leak. It speaks about the abuses of the press, under the umbrella of freedom endowed by the U.S. Constitution. The media is a critical part of the checks and balances in our society. It should act that way.
The media’s conspiracy of silence is over. The coverup is uncovered, with political fallout as immense as a nuclear bomb.
