2025 Central Florida Water Initiataive (CFWI) Regional Water Supply Plan public meeting is Friday The CFWI planning team will hold a virtual meeting Friday, Oct. 13, beginning at 9 a.m. to provide the public with an update on the planning process. The CFWI planning area covers five counties: Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and southern Lake. The boundaries of the St. Johns River, South Florida and Southwest Florida water management districts meet in the area. Caravelle Ranch Wildlife Management Area expands for conservation and recreation Caravelle Ranch Wildlife Management Area in Putnam County is expanding, further enhancing its role in preserving natural habitats and providing recreational opportunities. The purchase, which was approved by the District’s Governing Board on Oct. 10, adds to the already vast network of public conversation lands between the Ocklawaha and St. Johns rivers. |
