The Rise Against Hunger planning committee announces the seventh annual Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event Saturday, February 4 at the Atlantic Recreation Center, 2500 Atlantic Avenue in Fernandina Beach.

Volunteers must wear hats or provided hair nets while packing meals. Please come at 9 a.m. for set up and stay for clean-up, 11:30 a.m. to noon.

Rise Against Hunger strives to make an impact on hunger. They target remote communities within hunger pockets worldwide and work through local leaders to build resilience, self-sufficiency, and empowerment.
