June 1:

Work on purifying ourselves.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”  (Psalms 51:10)

June 2:

Have nothing to with things that are not moral.

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; ….” (II Corinthians 6:17)

June 3:

Jesus’ life is the example for us to follow in trying to be more pure.

“[Jesus] was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15)

June 4:

Joseph gave us the BEST reason for not giving-in to the temptation of sexual immorality.

“[H]ow then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9)

June 5:

Daniel in the lions’ den proved that purity and innocence can save our lives.

“My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before [the king] innocency was found in me; ….” (Daniel 6:22)

June 6:

Sex is not a sport or group activity.

“Keep yourselves from sexual promiscuity.”  (I Thessalonians 4:3, MSG)

June 7:

If we study the Bible, it will show us where to go and what to do.

“How can a young person live a clean life?
By carefully reading the map of your Word.” (Psalm 119:9, MSG)

June 8:

What we keep in our hearts will appear in our lives.

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, ….” (Mark 7:21)

June 9:

Keeping even a little evil in our lives, is STILL evil. Get rid of it.

“[L]et us turn away from everything wrong, whether of body or spirit, and purify ourselves, ….” (II Corinthians 7:1, TLB)

June 10:

Purity protects us from destroying our lives.

“And the Lord said, … [T]he cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; ….”(Genesis 18:20) [And] God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, …; (Amos 4:11)

June 11:

God has laws regarding sexual activity.

“God wants you to be holy and pure and to keep clear of all sexual sin …–”   (I Thessalonians 4:3-4, TLB)

June 12:

Jesus’ life of purity is a model for our own.

“And everyone who really believes this will try to stay pure because Christ is pure.” (I John 3:3, TLB)

June 13:

Let God re-shape your life with more purity.

“[E]verything — and I do mean everything — connected with that old way of life has to go. It’s rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life — a God-fashioned life, ….” (Ephesians 4:24, MSG)

June 14:

Keep marriage pure and holy.

“Honor marriage, and guard the sacredness of sexual intimacy between wife and husband….” (Hebrews 13:4, MSG)

June 15:

Sex outside of a committed marriage has no value.

“[W]e must not pursue the kind of sex that avoids commitment and intimacy, leaving us more lonely than ever –….”  (I Corinthians 6:17 MSG)

June 16:

Jesus reminds us to forgive those who would try to harm or attack us, because if they KNEW better they would DO better.

“Father forgive them; for they know not what they do.”  (Luke 23:34)

June 17:

We must keep our thoughts pure if we want to see God.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”   (Matthew 5:8)

June 18:

Let OUR lives be a pure example of what Christians are like.

“[B]e thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”  (I Timothy 4:12 )

June 19:

Living a clean and pure life is not just something nice to consider; it’s what God is TELLING us to do.

“For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.” (I Thessalonians 4:7)

June 20:

Don’t try to convince yourself that something impure is harmless. It’s not.

“Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.”  (Job 14:4)

June 21:

When we disobey what God tells us to do … there are consequences.

And unto Adam [God] said, Because thou … hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; (Genesis 3:17)

June 22:

Don’t let temptation lead you away from God.

“But I am frightened, fearing that in some way you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to our Lord, ….”  (II Corinthians 11:3, TLB)

June 23:

Prayer makes us strong to resist impure temptation.

”And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: ….” (Matthew 6:13)

June 24:

Let our words and thoughts be as pure as if we were speaking to God.

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”  (Psalm 19:14)

June 25:

If we ask God to reveal to us the things in our lives that need to be purified … He will DO it.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”  (Psalms 139:23-24)

June 26:

In the daily struggle to overcome sin and evil with purity and morality, PERSIST … and God will make our efforts successful.

“And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city … [and] the wall fell down flat ….” (Joshua 6:16, 20)

June 27:

Don’t get tired in working to maintain purity and morality and God promises to reward our efforts.

“And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”  (Galatians 6:9)

June 28:

Be proud that you’re able to witness to Jesus’ life and his message of purity and genuine love.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: ….” (Romans 1:16)

June 29:

In working for purity and righteousness, we are always safe in God.

“God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” (Proverbs 30:5)

June 30:

Our prayers for purity and morality have the irresistible power of God behind them.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth. It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
