Press Release

7-24-22, By Salvation Army Hope House

The Newcomers Community Service Group engaged both their members and the community on Thursday. July 14 in a very successful food drive to benefit our Nassau neighbors in need who come to the Salvation Army Hope House for emergency food, clothing, toiletries, household items, financial aid and more!

Gratitude is in order to so many for your generosity and kindness!  For the Newcomers’ members who handed out shopping lists at the Fernandina Beach Publix and Harris Teeter.  For the stores who provided the venue. For Joan Krull and Kay Heard who organized the event and for our wonderful, loving community who puts your caring into action!  We so appreciate how you, each doing your small part, came together to ensure bellies don’t growl unceasingly in Nassau!
