Thank you to the 31 Newcomers who played in Tuesday’s “For The Love of Pickleball” fundraiser and thank you to those of you who couldn’t join us and still donated! More than $3000 was raised and donated to Authentic Impact at Journey Church! What a great way for us to say, “Thank you” to Journey for the use of their courts for weekly Newcomer clinics and matches.
Authentic Impact’s mission is to provide relevant, effective and respectful services to individuals and families that are struggling. They help feed, support and/or sustain a healthy and productive life for themselves and their families in Nassau County.
Pickleball pro and clinic instructor Susie DeMille coordinated ten round robin matches that were played on the new courts at Journey. Congrats Mary McCalla and Deb Driscoll, the two top winners with the most overall points. Way to go ladies!
Susie ran another amazing tournament for us. Many thanks also to everyone who brought food and donated prizes for the raffle. It was a wonderful morning of pickleball!
