Marathon High Triumphs at Yulee High SchoolSeason 14 of Marathon High at Yulee High School concluded triumphantly with the Donna Half Marathon on February 2, celebrating the resilience and dedication of both students and coaches. This season, the team ran in honor of Mrs. Ashley Murray, Yulee High School’s reading coach and a breast cancer survivor. Over four months, participants trained three times a week, fostering self-esteem, strength, and positive attitudes.
Fifteen students and five coaches completed the grueling 13.1-mile course, many surpassing their personal goals. Notably, three students and two coaches completed their first half marathon, while three runners, Collin Carlos, Teddy Thomas, and Amelia Burbo, were honored as four-year Marathon High Streakers. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding accomplishments!
