Press Release
Nassau Habitat for Humanity
09-13-22
The Nassau Habitat for Humanity board of directors recently pledged to increase the number of homes built in Nassau County from two per year to six per year, by 2026. This exciting initiative has brought together a wide range of sponsors and supporters who are eager to join hands and ensure the success of Nassau Habitat for Humanity’s new signature fundraiser She Nailed It!.
She Nailed It! is an all-women, team hammering competition where community sponsored teams race the clock and each other to record the fastest time. The event will be held on October 23rd from 2PM-6PM at Mocama Beer Company and New South Food Truck Park on 8th Street in Fernandina Beach.

Nassau Habitat is counting on corporate sponsors and silent auction donations to help them reach their goal. “We are pleased but not surprised with the early enthusiastic response of the community” said event committee chair Cindy Jacoby. Some of the four-member teams who have already pledged to raise $1000 and will be competing include: WestRock, Amelia Coastal Realty, The Newcomers Club, Buchanan Builders, Pickett Construction, First Presbyterian Church, Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach, Rotary Amelia Island Sunrise Club, Wallace-Pierson Travel, MCG Construction, Sea Cottages of Amelia, the Silver Rappers, Manzie & Drake among others!
For more information about sponsorship, team registration and auction item donation please visit the Nassau Habitat website at www.nassauhabitatforhumanity.org.
