Nassau County Attorney Denise May Appointed to The Florida Bar’s Executive Council for the City, County and Local Government Law Section

Nassau County, Florida, May 10, 2023 – During the Annual Meeting of the Florida Bar’s City,
County, and Local Government Law Section, Nassau County Attorney, Denise May, was
appointed as an At-Large member of the Section’s Executive Council for a term of one-year.


The City, County and Local Government Law Section serves as a resource for Florida Bar
attorneys practicing in the field of local government law, in both the public and private
sector. The City, County and Local Government Section provides leadership, continuing
education, reference materials, and programs to its members and is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Ms. May, a board-certified attorney, has been a member of the City, County and Local Government Law Section for eleven years.


As a member of the Executive Council, Ms. May’s responsibilities will include the
implementation of the Section’s By-laws, assistance with the standing committees, and
support of the Section in the furtherance of its mission.


Board of County Commissioners Chairman, Klynt Farmer, stated, “It is an honor and a
privilege to have a Nassau County employee serving on this prestigious Council. Ms. May
works hard for the County government and its taxpayers, providing guidance on legal issues and legislative matters. I am certain she will provide invaluable guidance to her fellow Council members.”
