The North Florida Shipyards in Jacksonville is slated for a 30 million dollar investment by Fincantieri Marine Repair.

Fincantieri Marine Repair, a Italy-based global company (https://fincantierimarinegroup.com), is planning an expansion of its ship repair facility next to the Hart Bridge in downtown Jacksonville.

The main focus of the investment will be a 500-foot drydock capable of lifting a 13,000 ton vessel out of the water.  The current drydock is limited to a 2,700-ton capacity.

Fincantieri plans to increase employment to 300 in Jacksonville by 2028.  The Fincantieri Group employs 19,000 people worldwide.
