By Judge John Marshall Meisburg, Jr.

Abortion is once again a key issue in the Presidential campaign.  The Democrats talk about “reproductive freedom” and the Republicans say that abortion is murder.  But what is God’s perspective?

First, God makes clear in the Bible murder is a serious and mortal sin.  Exodus  20:13 (The Ten Commandments).  God also says that He knows us before we are born: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139.   So it is my view of Scripture that a so-called “fetus” is actually an unborn baby and an immortal soul, and that to end that life is murder

Second, it is clear from modern medicine that a so-called “fetus” is actually a human baby.  Sonograms show a fully formed baby after 12 weeks, and even the sex of the baby can be determined at this time. We need to follow the science!

Third, if death is certified when the heartbeat stops, then human life begins with a heartbeat, which is about 5 weeks. The heartbeat of a baby can be heard at this time with ultrasound. This is an awesome and holy sound. So, a 5 week old baby has a heartbeat and is a live human being

Fourth, we now known the unborn babies in the womb feel pain after about 12 weeks.  Abortions after that time involve ripping a baby apart limb from limb, causing great pain and hence are very immoral.

Fifth, it is clear from medical science that human life begins with conception.  A major electrical spark occurs when the sperm meets the egg, and this has now been actually seen and recorded. This is the start of human life! So, a strong argument can be made that all abortions are immoral and sinful.

Sixth, a woman has a legal right to control her body, but has no legal right to control the body of her baby that is living inside her womb. Two bodies are present!  If a woman does not want to have a baby she should control her body and not have sexual intercourse if single and use birth control if married.

Seventh, abortion was a crime for a thousand years of Anglo Saxon law and 200 years of American law. Only a radical and liberal US Supreme Court made abortion legal in Roe v Wade in 1973, which thankfully has now been reversed, a major answer to prayer. Eighth, abortion is usually the result of unmarried women committing the sin of premarital sex. The liberals don’t want to talk about that.  By supporting the right to an abortion, Democrats and their candidate Harris are actually supporting the right of unmarried women to engage in the sin of premarital sex which is condemned in Scripture, both Old and New Testaments. Fornication and abortion are both mortal sins in Scripture and require repentance before a Holy God. How dare they support two mortal sins! See 1 Corinthians 6:9-18; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 1 Corinthians 7:2 and 10:8; Hebrew 13:4; Mark 7:20; Hebrews 13:4; Romans 1:29; Matthew 15:19; Exodus 20:14; Acts 15:29; Ephesians 5:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Ephesians 2:10; Revelation 2:14, 20-22, 17:1-18 and 18:2-9.

Ninth, abortion greatly impacts the black community more than whites.  Some 40% of all abortions are done on black girls, which amounts to black genocide. Planned Parenthood clinics are usually stationed in black communities to target black women. Margaret Sanger who started Planned Parenthood was a major racist who wanted to use abortion to depopulate the black race. Blacks who support Harris and the Democrat’s stance on abortion are showing major ignorance.

Tenth, abortion is NOT health care. Health care is about using medicine to promote the health of the body.  Abortion does not promote health: it terminates life and is   murder. It violates the Hippocratic Oath: first, do no harm!

Eleventh, the proposed Constitutional amendment about abortion in Florida is a travesty that should never have been approved by the Florida Supreme Court for the ballot.  By a 4-3 vote the Court allowed this deceptive ballot measure in November.  Approval would actually allow abortions all the way up to the time of birth on the word of any health care provider, not just doctors, and would end parental consent.

Twelfth, there is no such thing as a “Trump abortion ban:” as alleged by Harris. The Supreme Court by a 6-3 vote sent the issue of abortion back to the states for a vote in each state, where it belongs.  We the people will vote.  The women of America now have a vote in their state on this issue.  It is no longer a national issue for the Presidential campaign, and President Trump has said he would not sign a nationwide abortion ban as alleged. Trump has also said that he favors legal exceptions for rape, incest and life of the mother, as did President Reagan, and that the Florida 6 week law was too extreme.  It is now up the men and women in each state to vote and decide this issue.

Thirteenth, abortion has greatly damaged the soul and economy of America.  Killing 70 million babies has decimated an entire generation of workers.  As a result, Social Security is nearing bankruptcy, and so is the nation with a national debt of 35 trillion dollars.  If these 70 million babies had lived, and worked, America would have been greatly blessed and much more prosperous.

Finally, abortion is the American holocaust, and has, in my opinion, already brought down the judgment of Almighty God upon America.  More than 70 million babies have been aborted/killed since Roe v Wade was issued in 1973, which is far more than the 6 million Jews who died in the Holocaust.  Both are great tragedies for mankind.  Psalm 106 tells us that the wrath of God comes down upon nations that kill their children.  It says that the “shedding of innocent blood” brings a curse on a nation. It is much like the child sacrifice to the pagan god of Moloch that was being done by the Jewish people in Old Testament days. “They even sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons. And shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.  Thus, they were defiled by their own works.  Therefore, the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, so that He abhorred His own inheritance.”  Psalms 106: 37-40.  America has shed the innocent blood of 70 million babies!  God have mercy on our land!

God’s perspective on abortion is this:  Abortion is the killing of an unborn human baby in the womb, and as such, is murder in violation of the Ten Commandments.

President Trump agrees with God’s perspective on abortion, and is “pro life.”  But he also agrees with the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution which places the legal authority to decide this issue squarely in the state legislatures and/or with a vote of the people in each state.

In America, WE THE PEOPLE GOVERN.  So let the people and especially the women of America vote in each state to decide the legality of abortion.  But I firmly believe that the states that vote to outlaw abortion will be greatly blessed by God.
