A recent Gallup poll uncovers emerging trends in U.S. gun ownership. The poll showcases a significant increase among Republican women who own firearms compared to Democratic and Independent men whose rates are gradually decreasing. Do political and ideological factors affect gun ownership?
Gun ownership is on the rise among Republican women, marking a significant jump from 19% to 33% according to recent data. Conversely, there is a decrease among Democratic men, dropping by seven percentage points. Similarly, independent men saw a five-point decline. Notably, Republican men maintain the highest rate of ownership at 60%.
