PROJECTS
North Beach Park is currently closed for rehabilitation. This project involves the
redecking of the boardwalk and improvements to the parking lot. This beach access is
scheduled to reopen by the end of March
The Atlantic Recreation Center pool is closed due to building improvements that are
currently underway. The pool is scheduled to reopen by mid-March once building
improvements have concluded.
The ground breaking for the restoration of the Amelia Island Lighthouse is scheduled
for March 28th. The restoration of the lighthouse is a phased project and fully grant
funded. The restoration of the exterior is the first phase and scheduled to take 90 days
to complete.
Dredging of the Fernandina Harbor Marina continues and is 50% complete. This
project involves the removal of nearly 15,000 cubic yards of sediment. Work is
scheduled to be completed by the end of March
