TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Governor Ron DeSantis and the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) today announced the qualified participants for four Republican primary debates taking place at the 2022 Sunshine Summit at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on July 23, 2022.
Helen Aguirre Ferré, the Executive Director of RPOF, made the following statement:
“At a time when Florida is leading the nation as the beachhead for freedom, the primary debates at this year’s Sunshine Summit are must-see events as we prepare for a red wave in November. Led by Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida Republicans are energized to elect a strong slate of conservative candidates up and down the ballot this November.”
The Sunshine Summit will feature four Republican primary debates in the following Florida congressional districts: CD-4, CD-7, CD-13, and CD-15. To qualify for the debates, the candidate must have polled at 5% or greater in the RPOF poll of each respective primary race or raised and publicly reported at least $100,000 in monetary contributions by July 13, 2022.
The following qualified candidates met one of these criteria and are invited to participate in the debates:
