“A Film In The Key Of Freedom” Movie Premiere
Amelia Musical Playhouse (Fernandina Beach, FL) 730pm
Feature film, Q&A, Special Performance.
Movie Premiere at Amelia Musical Playhouse: “A Film In The Key of Freedom” by Brian Ernst Amelia Island, FL — World-traveling artist and local musician Brian Ernst is set to host the premiere of his first-ever movie, “A Film In The Key of Freedom,” at the Amelia Musical Playhouse on Saturday, January 18th.
The film is a unique, music and visual experience, featuring 12 music videos played consecutively into one 55-minute, thought-provoking journey.
A Film In The Key of Freedom is inspired by Ernst’s personal experiences—from years spent in Africa, volunteering at the Moria Refugee Camp, assisting Syrian refugees in Türkiye, and holding the line at Standing Rock. The film serves as a musical and visual time capsule, exploring themes of freedom, struggle, sovereignty, treaties, self-determination, mental health, and the transformative experience of becoming a world-traveling family.
The accompanying album, Songs In The Key of Freedom, marks Ernst’s 8th independent release and his first vinyl album. The music was recorded at North Florida Recordings (Amelia Island, FL) and also in Myrtle Beach, SC. Produced by Ben Badenhorst Music (South Africa), the vinyl record will be available for purchase on January 18th.
Following the film, the evening will continue with an intermission, a Q&A session with Ernst and a special live performance to close out the night.
