| Summer is in full swing and I hope you have been having a great time soaking up the sun! My husband Jason and I successfully finished the 5th Annual Cross the Line Paddle for Veterans. It was a great day on the water and we the conditions were perfect for our 9 mile paddle from St. Mary’s, GA to Fernandina Beach, FL in honor of veterans. Last week our family served at the Lighthouse Family Retreat – a retreat for families who had a child experiencing cancer. This was hands-down one of the best trips/experiences we’ve ever taken. It was great to meet these families and help them have some brief time to relax, have fun and smile together as a family. Thank you to all of you who partnered with us in supporting this great organization. It was truly a blessing for not only the child in or recently off treatment, but also for their moms, dads and siblings.We’re planning to spend the rest of the summer enjoying all Amelia Island has to offer including sailing on the inland waterways and Atlantic Ocean, hiking around the state parks, and surfing and paddle boarding at the beach.
