When you think of Spring Break, you think of South Florida. However, a grim atmosphere has recently followed Spring Break in the Sunshine State. In an attempt to curb lawlessness, lawmakers are enforcing stricter measures. In a press conference this week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) announced that he would be deploying law enforcement to combat any spring breakers that are “causing havoc.”
Standing in front of law enforcement today, Governor DeSantis made it clear that the state is taking a firm stance on the Spring Break fiasco.
“We welcome people to come and have a good time. What we don’t welcome is criminal activity. What we don’t welcome is mayhem and people who want to wreak havoc on our communities,” he said.
