Press Release

By Congressman Aaron Bean

2/16/25

The swamp is thick and deep here in Crazy Town, and I’m here to drain it.

On Friday, I proudly reintroduced the Decentralizing and Re-organizing Agency Infrastructure Nationwide To Harness Efficient Services, Workforce Administration, and Management Practices (DRAIN THE SWAMP) Act, which would require nearly a third of workers to relocate outside the beltway.

The federal workers in the capital region would be required to work in person 100% of the time.  Additionally, the OMB would sell the unnecessary office space created by the relocations.
ImageAs the co-chair for the Congressional DOGE Caucus, I’m fighting to ensure the government works for you, not the other way around. Read exclusive coverage in Fox News HERE .

THE OVERSIGHT SUBCOMMITTEE GONE WILD!ImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH

On Tuesday, the Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee held a hearing to investigate IRS funding and the lack of return on investment from the Inflation Reduction Act. The IRS needs IT modernization not more audits of working families.

SUBCOMMITTEE HEARING ON AMERICAN HEALTH CARE: CREATING HEALTHY OPTIONS AND BETTER INCENTIVESImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH

America spends almost DOUBLE its GDP on healthcare yet it has far worse outcomes than other countries.

Making America Healthy Again means freeing up TRILLIONS of taxpayer dollars. That’s why the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee is taking a hard look at America’s health care spending.

PROTECTING MAIN STREET FROM UNNECESSARY RED TAPEImage
In the final three weeks of his presidency, President Biden issued 243 new rules. Small businesses do not need any more regulations that cost millions of dollars and lead to endless hours of paperwork.

On Wednesday, we passed the Midnight Rules Relief Act. This commonsense bill would amend the Congressional Review Act to overturn multiple regulations issued within the final months of a presidential administration with a single vote, instead of addressing them one by one.

CRACKING DOWN ON CRIME ALONG THE BORDERImage
For too long, our brave officers have been killed in the line of duty while pursuing illegal immigrants. That’s why we passed H.R. 35, the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act

Named in honor of a Border Patrol Agent who died in the line of duty while pursuing a group of illegal aliens, this commonsense bill permanently prohibits any illegal alien who evades Border Patrol from ever obtaining any legal immigration status in the United States.

PASSED OUT OF COMMITTEE: BILL TO PROTECT TAXPAYER REFUND CHECKS FROM THIEVES

Lost or stolen paper checks is a major problem across the nation.

That is why the Ways and Means Committee unanimously passed H.R. 1155, the Recovery of Stolen Checks Act, which would allow Americans the option to receive a direct deposit from the U.S. Treasury instead of  a check in the mail that might get stolen. This is commonsense legislation that will protect U.S. taxpayers and keep refunds out of the hands of criminals.

150-YEAR-OLDS ARE RECEIVING SOCIAL SECURITY?!  ImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH

We are spending money on the wrong things—and the truth of where we are spending American tax dollars is stranger than fiction. I joined Varney & Co. on Thursday to break it all down.

THE SWAMP IS FIGHTING AGAINST TRUMP’S GOVERNMENT OVERHAULImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH

When it comes to America’s $36 TRILLION DEBT, the first page of the Swamp’s playbook is to shoot the messenger. On Sunday, I joined Fox News Weekend to talk about DOGE’s latest efforts to save taxpayer dollars and Speaker Johnson’s efforts to craft a spending plan.

BEAN JOINS ‘MAKING MONEY WITH CHARLES PAYNE’ImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH

On Friday, I joined Fox Business to discuss DOGE putting government waste on the chopping block, the next target for spending cuts, and making the Trump tax cuts permanent.

AND WE’RE BACK!ImageListening to you is one of the most important aspects of my job. On Wednesday night, I hosted my first town hall of the new year, and it was a major success. Thank you to the more than 6,500 freedom-loving Floridians who joined our call and for sharing your concerns about all that is happening in Washington.

Did you miss us? Don’t worry, we’ll be back in March. You can sign up to receive next month’s call HERE .

CASEWORK CORNER

A Jacksonville veteran was honorably discharged from the Navy in November. However, she was unable to receive her formal separation papers, known as the DD214(s), due to administrative errors. After contacting my office, one of our specialists was able to quickly correct the error, and she received the proper documentation. Now she is able to proceed with getting another job!

Are you a veteran struggling with the VA? My staff and I are here to help you. Call us today at 904-830-3933. Sincerely, Image
