$34 trillion in debt and growing. Our national debt is one of the greatest threats to America and the time to address this crisis is now. Yet President Biden’s new budget proposes out of control spending to the tune of $7.3 trillion.
 
While hardworking Americans struggle with crushing inflation, President Biden is proposing $5 TRILLION in new taxes that you and your family will pay either directly or through higher costs. If that weren’t bad enough, President Biden’s budget would increase the national debt to $45.1 trillion with interest costs on the debt totaling a staggering $12.2 trillion.
 
At a time when we need real solutions to put our fiscal house in order, Biden’s budget is completely unserious. Here’s the good news—House Republicans have a thorough plan to address Washington’s spending problem and start paying down our debts. Our budget proposal titled, “Fiscal Sanity to Save America,” will implement common-sense policies to prevent the impending debt disaster, tame inflation, grow the economy, protect our national security, secure the border, and defund Biden’s woke priorities.

BEAN DEFENDS RIGHTS OF LAW-ABIDING GUN OWNERS  

On Thursday, I joined Representative Tom Emmer to introduce the Firearm Due Process Protection Act . This bill provides a recourse for law-abiding Americans who are improperly denied the ability to legally purchase a firearm because of administrative errors made during a background check. HELPING VETERANS ATTAIN HOMEOWNERSHIP

Every year, many VA home loans go unused, and countless veterans miss out on the opportunity of becoming a homeowner. That’s why I cosponsored the VA Loan Informed Disclosure (VALID) Act , bipartisan legislation that will ensure veterans have the tools and resources they need to access home loans and attain homeownership.

DEADLINE APPROACHING: 2024 CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION

I encourage all Northeast Florida high school students in the 4th Congressional District to participate in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. This year’s theme is Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Art.
