Where did the time go? Just like that, the summer is over, and Congress will reconvene on September 9th. From Jacksonville and Fernandina Beach to Green Cove Springs and Middleburg, it’s been an incredibly productive month, and I’m thrilled to take your stories back with me to Crazy Town.
| This week marked 904 Day and there was no better way to celebrate than to welcome the addition of a new manufacturing company to our area. As Holon has discovered, there is no better place to build, hire, and grow than right here in Northeast Florida. The recruitment of this autonomous vehicle manufacturing facility is an economic milestone for our community, and it is significant because our area will be at the forefront of restoring America’s manufacturing might.  I’m thrilled to welcome new businesses and opportunities to Northeast Florida and look forward to sharing more great news with you soon. THE BIDEN-HARRIS ECONOMY IS CRUSHING AMERICANS  Feeling pain at the pump? I know I am! As a result of the Biden-Harris administration’s war on American energy, gas prices have risen more than 50 percent since 2021. On Wednesday, I joined Americans for Prosperity Florida during their gas price rollback event, which made clear Bidenomics is BAD economics. But that’s not all. The inflation rates for some of the most basic goods are still up. Electricity is up more than 30 percent, groceries are up more than 20 percent, and mortgage rates are up 196 percent. This is exacerbated because average weekly earnings are still down nearly 4 percent. Simply put, the failed policies of this administration are crushing Americans. TOURING SWISHER  A family within a family business, Swisher has called Jacksonville home for more than 100 years. This innovative tobacco company best known for their cigars plays a major role in our local economy and supplies over 2,000 jobs. I got a great tour of the facility, learning more about issues affecting their business and government regulation. As a member of the House Small Business Committee, I’m committed to restoring optimism and advancing solutions to make it easier for owners to invest, hire, and watch their enterprises grow. CHECKING THE TEMPERATURE IN FL-04  I was thrilled to be back on the phone lines Tuesday evening, with thousands of proud, hardworking Northeast Floridians. During the call, participants shared their frustration with the failed, weak, dangerous policies of the Biden-Harris administration. While the Far Left continues to double down on their radical agenda, I’m fighting to restore our economy, protect our precious freedoms, and secure our borders. Did you miss us?
