Press Release
By Congressman Aaron Bean
07-26-24
On Monday, the House Oversight Committee grilled United States Secret Service (USSS) Director Kimberly Cheatle to learn more about the blatant security failures that occurred on July 13th. Within 24-hours of the grueling hearing, she officially announced her resignation.
USSS Director Cheatle may have resigned for failing to stop a would-be assassin from harming President Trump, but it’s far from over. Americans still have questions and deserve answers.
That’s why Wednesday night, House Republicans passed H. Res.1367 to establish a Select Committee with subpoena power to uncover the truth about the heinous assassination attempt. Make no mistake: the major security breaches were totally preventable. Now is the time for Congress to extensively get to the bottom of this—and our task force will do just that.
STANDING IN SOLIDARITY WITH PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU AND ISRAEL

Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu is a fighter, and it was a privilege to welcome him to the U.S. Capitol for a joint meeting of Congress. Shamefully, 80 Democrats, including VP Kamala Harris, skipped his strong, forward-looking, war-time address.
In a world where antisemitism and acts of violence against Jewish people are becoming normalized, we must be bold and courageous in standing up for the nation of Israel and their right to defend the Jewish homeland.
BORDER INVASION IS NO LAUGHING MATTER!
Within months of taking office, President Joe Biden assigned Vice President Kamala Harris to be the leading point person on the border. As Border Czar, she had one job: secure the border. Yet under her watch, we’ve had the highest number of illegal entries—9.7 million nationwide—including known terrorists.
On Thursday, House Republicans passed a resolution condemning Biden’s Border Czar VP Kamala Harris’ failure to secure the border and protect the American people. Six Democrats voted with Republicans because even members of her own party know she is a complete catastrophe. Read more HERE .
STRENGTHENING MILITARY SECURITY AFTER BREACH BY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS
Earlier this year, two individuals posed as Amazon delivery drivers attempted to break onto the Marine Corps Base in Quantico. It turns out they were both illegal immigrants from Jordan who entered the nation unlawfully via the southern border.
I joined Representative Morgan Luttrell to introduce the Protecting Military Assets Act of 2024, which ensures that illegal immigrants who have been convicted of or who have committed an offense related to entering military, naval or coast guard property are deemed inadmissible and deportable.
