Press Release

This week the House passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, an essential bill to ensure only American citizens vote in our U.S. elections.
It’s imperative to our democracy that our elections remain transparent and apart from outside influence.
Yet, since 2021, the Biden administration has welcomed over 10 million illegal immigrants into our nation. On top of this, there are reports that welfare offices and other agencies in 49 states are providing voter registration forms to illegal immigrants without requiring proof of citizenship.
Americans demand election integrity, and House Republicans delivered on our commitment to protect the ballot box. On Wednesday, we passed the SAVE Act to ensure that only American citizens vote in our American elections. Unsurprisingly, 198 Democrats voted against it making it abundantly clear: the Left wants illegal immigrants voting in November.
BIDEN’S ECONOMIC MESSAGE IS NOT SELLING ON MAIN STREET |
Under record-breaking inflation, the Biden administration has piled over $1.6 trillion in burdensome regulations onto the backs of America’s job creators.
On Wednesday, the Small Business Committee held a hearing on how Biden’s unnecessary taxation and failed economic agenda continues to hurt, not help, Main Street America. As a former small business owner, I know firsthand the burdens small businesses face and will work to ensure they have the support they need to flourish.
PROTECTING WOMEN AND GIRLS SPORTS
Allowing men to compete in women’s sports is what the woke progressive mob calls equality. But every time a male takes a lane in the pool, a spot on the field, or a place at the starting line, a female athlete loses the opportunity to compete. That doesn’t sound equal to me.
On Wednesday, I was proud to vote in favor of H.J. Res. 165, to nullify the Biden administration’s proposal that endangers women and makes them second-class citizens in their own sports.
CALLING FOR NOAA TO EASE BAN ON RED SNAPPER
Today is the only day this year for fishermen to cast their hooks in search of the highly sought-after red snapper. NOAA cites overfishing as the reason for its restrictive regulations, but available data shows an abundance of red snapper, high recruitment levels of young fish in the population, and improved age structure of the South Atlantic stock.
Earlier this week, I joined Representative Russell Fry in urging NOAA to reconsider their unnecessary regulatory intervention that is threatening the livelihoods of local businesses and the broader tourism industry. Learn more HERE.
PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN IS TRULY A TRAIN WRECK! |
Even if Joe Biden were younger, he would still be a weak and failed president because of his terrible policies. From crippling inflation, to the open border, to abandoning Israel, Joe Biden’s presidency has been a disaster from day one. I joined The Chris Salcedo Show on Newsmax to discuss how the perception of American weakness has emerged out of Joe Biden’s weakness. CASEWORK CORNER A local doctor was having issues receiving his Medicare reimbursements for patient visits from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Thankfully, my team was able to step in and make an inquiry on his behalf, which resulted in the constituent receiving his rightful payments and his ability to continue to care for patients. Are you struggling with CMS or another agency? My staff and I are here to help you. Give us a call at 904-830-3933. NEW PASSPORT AGENCIES The State Department announced its plan to establish six new passport agencies, including one in Orlando, Florida. This new agency will provide services to travelers with urgent travel needs (travel within 14-days or less). Follow @travelgov on social media and visit travel.state.gov/passport for the latest passport information. |
