Press Release

By Congressman Aaron Bean

12/06/24

Our national debt has surpassed a staggering $36 trillion and should be a wakeup call for all of us. President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will take action to prevent America from diving off the cliff of fiscal ruin. But taking on Crazy Town is no easy task!

As founder and co-chairman of the House DOGE Caucus, I had a very productive meeting with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy discussing plans to Make America Efficient Again.

But with more than $2.7 TRILLION in waste, fraud, and abuse, there is a lot to tackle. And we want to hear from you!  That’s why, I created an email address — [email protected] — to ask for your input on cutting government waste.

American students used to be #1 in the world. Today, the U.S. ranks 26th in math, 6th in reading, and 10th in science.

As chairman of the Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education Subcommittee, I held a hearing on Thursday titled, “Back to Basics: America’s Founding, Civics, Self-Government in K-12 Curricula” to shine a spotlight on the divisive and anti-American ideologies that are permeating schools across the nation. We must refocus our education system and get back to the basics to ensure our children have the knowledge and skills to be successful.

UNCOVERING TOTAL FEDERAL FUNDING AWARDED TO ABORTION PROVIDERS

I believe taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund abortions. That’s why I joined over 100 of my colleagues in asking the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to investigate how much taxpayer money was given to abortion providers over the past three years. Read more HERE .

BEAN TO FAA: PRIORITIZE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL MODERNIZATION

ImageCongressman Bean spent an afternoon with the men and women of the Jacksonville Air Route Traffic Control Center.

Flight cancellations and delays are on the rise, creating chaos and frustration in airports across the nation.

As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I understand the importance of modernizing an overwrought air traffic control (ATC) system, especially for Northeast Florida. That’s why I joined Congressman Nick Langworthy in urging the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Michael Whitaker to address serious concerns regarding the agency’s oversight of ATC modernization investments. Learn more HERE

BEAN ON ‘MORNINGS WITH MARIA’ImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH

The vision of the DOGE Caucus is simple: We will empower members to reduce government waste and cut out the redundancies.

Early yesterday morning, I joined ‘Mornings with Maria’ on Fox Business to discuss our plans to work with Elon and Vivek to deliver a lean government on behalf of the American people.

RELEASE THE HOUNDS: DOGE CAUCUS TAKING SHAPE IN THE HOUSEImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH

American taxpayers shelled out $150.7 BILLION on illegal immigrants and $1 BILLION to Africa for disaster relief all while North Carolina storm victims are still living in tents as temperatures drop.

On Tuesday, I joined ‘The Ingraham Angle’ on Fox News to discuss how Crazy Town needs to get its priorities straight, and how DOGE will do just that.

HONORING THE PATRIOTS LOST AT PEARL HARBORImageToday marks 83 years since “a date which will live in infamy.” On National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we solemnly remember the 2,403 lives that were lost and the brave heroes who stood firm in the face of an unexpected Japanese attack to defend America.

CASEWORK CORNER

In addition to the important work we’re doing up in Washington, my district team has been busy winning important victories for Northeast Floridians! A Middleburg constituent was having trouble adding his wife to his VA disability benefit until he contacted our office. Thankfully, my team was able to get her added and the benefit backdated appropriately.

Remember, serving you is what we do! If you’re having an issue with a federal agency, please contact us!
Sincerely,Image
