By Judge John Marshall Meisburg, Jr., 2-9-25
America has spoken with a resounding voice that they want President Trump, and his “America First” policy, and a return to safe borders, law and order, and common sense. And Trump has taken dramatic action to achieve these goals in his first week in office.
Unfortunately, some discontented liberals are still trying to attack “Christian nationalism” and even call it “White Christian nationalism.” This, of course, is a straw man, and pejorative term to make it all sound racist, which it is not. Race has nothing to do with nationalism and patriotism, regardless of what they say. Every nation on earth, regardless of their race, should have safe borders, law and order and patriotism. Liberals want to divide us by making everything about race, but it is not.
So what do “Christian nationalists” believe?
They stand for the following:
- They speak the truth in love about social issues that have spiritual content such as abortion and homosexuality. Ephesians 4:15.
- They promote a society based on merit, not race, or racial preference or discrimination, as stated by Martin Luther King (judge people by the content of their character not the color of their skin).
- They take a stand on every social issue based on the wisdom of the Bible, both Old and New Testament, but especially the teachings of Jesus Christ. They honor the Biblical concept of nationalism, law and order and safe borders. Psalm 147:13-14; Deuteronomy 32:8. They believe that God uses nations like Israel and America to save the world.
- They honor the “Prosperity gospel” which is found throughout the Old and New Testament, which favors those who are righteous. Deuteronomy 28; Malachi 3:8-12; Matthew 6:33. They believe that Godly people who are prosperous can use their money to help the poor and share the Gospel with the world. Money prints our Bibles and sends out missionaries to the lost.
- They honor the Biblical concept of national boundaries, and the covenant between America and God, as set forth in the Mayflower Compact and the Bible, in which the Pilgrims stated that they came to the New World to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- They stand for equal justice for all, and use the might and power of the United States to stand for freedom worldwide, not for conquest or domination.
- They promote the concept that our strength as a nation comes from our unity and shared faith in God and Christian values, not in our “diversity”. One of our national mottos on our money is “Out of many, One”. They reject the efforts of some to make everything about race and division. They reject DEI which promotes promotes equity in results and socialism rather than equal opportunity.
- They fight for freedom and democracy around the world and never take land by conquest. They use our God-given wealth to promote the health and welfare of the whole world.
- They make Jesus Lord over America, and recognize that all of our laws are based on the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount. They says that America is truly a Christian nation from our birth, and that we have no King but Jesus.
I am very proud to be a “Christian Nationalist” or American patriot, who believes deeply in the Christian Heritage of America and the covenant that America has with God to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all our people and with the whole world! No other nation has shared the Gospel more than America, and that is why we are so blessed as a country.
