Democrat President Joe Biden has actually admitted that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has “done a good job” during remarks about the Republican governor’s handling of the response to Hurricane Ian.
During a visit to survey the damage caused by the hurricane on Wednesday, Biden commended DeSantis for his response to the storm in a surprising shift from the president’s usual criticism of the Republican leader.
Biden’s praise came during a visit to Lee County, which saw severe damage from the Category 4 hurricane.
“What the governor’s done is pretty remarkable,” the president admitted.
“I think he’s done a good job,” Biden added, going on to acknowledge that, while they have “different political philosophies,” DeSantis has done a good job handling the crisis.
