Reporter Andrew Pantazi of the Tributary quickly put together an impressive next-day 2022 Duval County primary election analysis, which we only got around to reading today.

He concluded that more voters weighed in on the Sheriff’s race than any other one, that race played a part, even though all candidates were black, that backlash against school performance and woke policies – or “culture war” issues, as he put it- caused school board composition changes and that DeSantis helped influence these, and that the voters elected to increase their own school taxes, ostensibly to pay teachers more.
