The re-election of President Donald Trump by a landslide marks a new day for America and the world. The American people spoke with a very strong voice on November 5th that they wanted change in a big way. Trump received 312 Electoral votes which gave him a real mandate for change. They wanted an end to the weak and radical liberal policies of the Democrats, and wanted a government that was pro-America, pro-life and Godly. All three branches of the federal government are now under the control of the Republican Party!
These are truly exciting times. President-Elect Trump is already taking action to restore America. Things are changing rapidly. Hamas is calling for peace in Israel. Iran is terrified. Russia may be ready to make peace in the Ukraine. Illegal alien caravans in Mexico are breaking up and the border will soon be more secure. Great men and women are being appointed to serve in the Trump Cabinet. Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have been appointed to start an Office of Government Efficiency that will seek to streamline the federal government, drain the swamp in Washington, and even balance the budget. Bobby Kennedy has been appointed Secretary of Health and Human Services to stop the toxins in our food and end the chronic disease crisis in adults and children. The stock market rose over a trillion dollars after the election.
Spiritually, I believe that there is now an “open Heaven” over America, and that God is pouring out his mercy to restore our nation and give us another chance, due to the vote of the people. I believe that America can soon enjoy the blessings of God and the blessings of obedience once again if we decided to follow the ways of God. In Deuteronomy 28, God says that if we obey his commandments, “I will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will overtake you: Blessed shall you be in the city and the country, Blessed shall be the fruit of your body (i.e., many children), the produce of your ground, the increase in your herds and cattle, and the offspring of your flocks.
*** The Lord will cause your enemies to be defeated before your face; they shall come against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouse and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you and give you prosperity. The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself. Then all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the lord and they shall be afraid of you.*** You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail”. While God originally gave these promises to Israel, I believe that they also apply to us today and to America. They are truly the “Blessings for Obedience.” It is therefore incumbent upon America to follow the ways of God in our government in all that we do, and that great blessings will follow. We must stand for law and order (not crime) life (not abortion), peace (not war), frugality (not debt), freedom of speech (not censorship) and religious freedom (not persecution).
I also believe that God is restoring America to His original intent for our country. And what was that original intent? We know His original intent from the writings and actions of our founding fathers.
Christopher Columbus, the man who discovered America, was a devout Christian and Messianic Jew who said in his prayer journal that he was led by the Holy Spirit to make his voyage to the new Promised Land of America to share the Gospel of Christ with the New World.
The Pilgrims were devout Christians who said that they came to America for religious freedom, to share the Gospel of Christ, and to bring glory to God.
The French Huguenots were Spirit Filled Christians who came to America for religious freedom and to share the Gospel with the New World.
The British Settlers of Jamestown, Virginia planted a cross on the beach, and claimed this land for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison and Patrick Henry all said that they based the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution upon the principles of the Bible, the Ten Commandments, and the Sermon on the Mount. No other nation in the history of the world was so dedicated and so created. We had a great covenant with God and Jesus Christ from the very beginning.
We know therefore from the inspired writings of our Founders that the original intent of God for America was that it was to be a land of religious freedom and a holy nation based upon the principles of the Bible that would share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with the entire world!
So let us pray that President-Elect Trump will be anointed by the Holy Spirit to lead this nation in the ways of God, that America will be restored to be a holy nation and that our nation will be greatly blessed once again. In Jesus Name! Amen.
