IMMEDIATELY post-inauguration, 47th President Donald Trump began signing already queued up executive orders, changing or initiating dozens of policy initiatives. As far as we know this is happening at an unprecedented scope and rate. Some of these are controversial, but most appeared to play well with his supporters.
He feels the need to not only finish what was interrupted by a questionable 2020 election, but to reverse the disastrous course of the Biden-Harris administration, much faster and with far more skill and support than he had in his first term. He has cemented control of the party and many more supporters have flocked to him after seeing the damage wrought by the Biden-Harris team.
The Village People hadn’t even finished packing up their equipment when he pardoned about 1500 January 6 protesters, many of whom had been imprisoned for years, denied basic amenities, overcharged and sentenced.
Accomplished to Date
In blindingly rapid succession, he pardoned or commuted the sentences of nearly all of the aforementioned J6 protesters & 23 pro-life activists, froze most hiring, froze non-emergency agency announcements, forbade DEI and CRT in the federal government, classified many fed. management as “at will” employees, ordered the arrest and deportation of illegal aliens, with the main focus on criminals. He sent military troops to the border to reinforce the Border Patrol, withdrew from the World Health Organization and dropped out of the Paris Climate Treaty. He blocked all new regulations until his team is in place, is forcing an end to federal govt. employees working at home, insists on only U.S. flags flying at embassies, fired the Coast Guard Commandant, declared war on foreign cartels/gangs and designated them terrorists, threatened to take back the Panama Canal, insisting that Panama is violating the treaty, discussed acquiring Greenland and Canada, reopened oil drilling in many locations, is pushing very hard for a Ukraine war end, is ramming numerous appointments through the Senate over Democrat and RINO opposition, forcing adjudication of no birthright Citizenship. He established the Government Department of Efficiency (DOGE), is firing Biden political appointees burrowed into Civil Service jobs. He plans to release classified government records concerning the assassinations of Kennedy; his brother, Robert F. Kennedy; and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.. He redesignated Houthis as foreign terrorists. Restoring “2 genders” and protecting women in sports competition and other areas. Prohibited Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
Somehow, he also found time to visit both the sites of the North Carolina hurricane disaster and the California fires and do multiple interviews and ad hoc, freewheeeling press conferences. All this in 4 days.
We don’t know yet if he plans to rest on the seventh day, as the Lord did after creating the universe. Quite a contrast to his weak, senile, corrupt, Progressive predecessor.
