Good morning, C&C, it’s Friday! As all you parents know, this week was the first full week back to school and like clockwork, my beloved walking Petri dishes brought some kind of seasonal cold home. For me, symptoms began last night, and by this morning I started the post-pandemic protocol (vitamins plus saline/iodine irrigation). Please forgive me if the post is a little flat today.

Your Friday roundup includes: leftists declare national holiday after Trump’s Georgia arrest, make collectible stamp out of mugshot; Merrick Garland sues SpaceX for hiring American citizens; Maui moves fast, not to rebuild Lahaina, but to shift the blame; Putin gives a statement about Prigozhin’s plane crash; and more news from the counter-revolution as the latest disastrously-woke teacher is quickly fired.

πŸ—ž THE C&C ARMY POST πŸ—ž

MULTIPLER UPDATE: I have requested figures on our Ray Smith multiplier and will let you know when I hear something. But the little donation thermometer thing moved a long way yesterday. It started just past β€œgo.”

πŸ—žπŸ’¬ WORLD NEWS AND COMMENTARY πŸ’¬πŸ—ž

πŸ”₯ It was the mugshot heard β€˜round the world. The democrats shattered historic records again yesterday, arresting a former United States President on ridiculous process crimes for the fourth time, and this time they got their mugshot. I hope they like it. Although President Trump marked the occasion by returning to Twitter after a two-year hiatus, in which he used the mugshot, I am NOT reprinting it here. You can easily find it if you want it.

His mugshot may disappoint some of his political enemies. In the photo, Trump confronts the camera in front of a bland gray backdrop, his eyes meeting the lens in an intense, defiant, and almost angry glare. He should be angry. He’s wearing a smart blue suit, crisp white dress shirt, and bright red tie. His shoulders are bravely squared, his head tilted slightly toward the camera as if to say, I’m coming. Fulton County’s sheriff digitally added its  logo above Trump’s right shoulder.

Per reports, and probably owing to prior arrangements with Secret Service, Trump’s entire booking process took under 20 minutes, start to end. He was released on $200,000 bail.

Reactions were strong. For one example, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene joined Trump in spirit, tweeting her own mugshot-style pic:

Dinesh D’Souza announced that in memorial of the historic occasion, he would post his movie proving election crimes in Georgia, 2,000 Mules, for free on Twitter for a week:

Meanwhile, democrats are busy creating collectible mugshot stamps and planning to propose a national holiday.

Apart from exciting the democrat base, it’s hard to see what advantage they’ve gained. And they may not be able to ultimately afford the cost. Four indictments and four arrests create four precedents for arresting and charging other officials. And there are a bunch of officials who are sitting squarely in those crosshairs.

I’m looking at you, Bob Peters.

😷 Yesterday, the Hill ran a goofy scare story headlined, β€œMask mandates reemerge amid upturn in COVID-19 cases.” The article only cited six obviously failing companies and institutions, including Lionsgate, Morris Brown College, Rutgers, and Kaiser Permanente, that have issued full or partial mask mandates out of fear of the (alleged) new, non-dangerous β€œEris” variant.

Near the article’s end, the Hill admitted that, under the CDC’s own covid color coding system, only three percent (3%) of U.S. counties even in the yellow category, and none β€” zip, zero β€” are in the red.

So.

Also yesterday, Florida’s Surgeon General Joe Ladapo tweeted from his official account a suggestion that citizens refuse to comply with dumb mask mandates or lockdowns.

Dr. Ladapo, MD, PHD, is the best, most well-known surgeon general in the country. I’d take his advice.

πŸ”₯ Fox News ran an unbelievable story yesterday, non-satirically headlined β€œDOJ files lawsuit accusing SpaceX of hiring discrimination against refugees, asylum seekers.”

I am not making this up. The DOJ’s lawsuit accused SpaceX of hiring American citizens and not hiring β€œrefugees” and β€œasylum seekers.”  In other words, they’re getting sued for not hiring illegal aliens.

It’s not hard to imagine why SpaceX β€” a military contractor β€” restricted its employment to legal citizens and those with green-cards. The rocket maker works with advanced technology subject to thousands of federal regulations, export controls, and security requirements. But Merrick Garland’s atrocious DOJ said that those laws and regulations “do not require SpaceX to treat asylees and refugees differently than U.S. citizens or green card holders.”

We have long passed parody stage and are now entering a brave new unexplored world of government incompetence that makes the movie Idiocracy look like a best-case scenario. I shall call this new, lower level of official incompetence: wokecompetence.

πŸ”₯ The democrat government in Maui set a land speed record yesterday, as reported by the Wall Street Journal in an article headlined, β€œMaui Alleges Hawaiian Electric Caused Lahaina Wildfire.” The sub-headline added, β€œCounty files lawsuit against the utility claiming negligence.”

In what must be a record for local government to move fast at doing anything, Maui County, which has not even finished locating all the bodies, and hasn’t even really gotten started cleaning up the disaster, has already filed a lawsuit seeking to pin the blame for the fires on the Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO).

The blame-shifting lawsuit alleges that HECO was negligent by not pre-emptively cutting power despite the previous day’s National Weather Service warning of high winds and temperatures, along with low humidityβ€”prime conditions for a wildfire, according to the county’s complaint. It also claims HECO failed to maintain the electrical system, leading to energized, downed power lines, which in turn caused the fires.

The lawsuit doesn’t claim any particular amount of damages, since nobody knows yet how much the damages will be. Why wait to find out?

A HECO statement about the suit said, β€œWe are very disappointed that Maui County chose this litigious path while the investigation is still unfolding.” Good thing the County doesn’t need HECO’s help with anything at this point. Oh, wait.

There are several important things the lawsuit doesn’t say. If HECO had cut the power, then people would have been unable to charge their electric cars. What about them? And without power, hospitals and first responders would have been plunged into fiery darkness.

That’s not all. At this point, various major news sources have reported these additional inconvenient facts, all omitted from the county’s lawsuit:

β€’ Firefighters abandoned a still-burning bush fire while hurricane force winds were blowing over it. The wildfire started shortly thereafter.

β€’ An emergency management official failed to sound the sirens that would have warned people of the fire and need to evacuate.

β€’ Another official refused to allow firefighters access to water to put out the fire for five hours, demanding submission of an β€œenvironmental impact statement.”

β€’ Police literally blocked off the only exit out of Lahiana was literally and turned cars back toward the flames.

β€’ Officials ordered kids to leave school and go back home where they were left alone.

β€’  Hawaiian officials still refuse to definitively say how many children have been reported missing.

One supposes that HECO will probably mention all those things in its response to the County’s warp-speed lawsuit, and then prove them in court. I doubt this poorly-considered, hyper-speed blame-shifting tactic is going to work out very well for Maui’s criminals in command, I mean officials.

It’s still too early to say, but the Maui disaster is shaping up to be as perfectly horrible an example of woke incompetence as you could possibly ask for.

Wokecompetence.

πŸ”₯ While virtually all U.S. Establishment Media sources reported yesterday that anonymous U.S. officials were whispering that Russian President Putin β€œprobably” ordered a hit on Wagner Group’s possibly-deceased leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, I was forced to go to Aljazeera News to find out what the Russian president said about the downed plane.

In an article plainly headlined, β€œWhat did President Putin say about the Russia plane crash,” Aljazeera translated Putin’s statement about the crash. Here it is, in full:

β€œAs for the aviation tragedy, first of all I want to express my most sincere condolences to the families of all the victims.
It is always a tragedy. Indeed, if employees of the Wagner company were there, and the preliminary data indicate they were, I would like to note that these people made a significant contribution to our common cause of combating the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, we remember this, we know it and we shall not forget.
I had known Prigozhin for a very long time, since the start of the ’90s. He was a man with a difficult fate, and he made serious mistakes in life. And he strove for the results he needed for himself, and when I asked him about it, for the common cause, as in these last months. He was a talented person, a talented businessman, he worked not only in our country, and worked with results, but also abroad, in Africa, in particular. He was involved there with oil, gas, precious metals and stones.
As far as I know, he just returned yesterday from Africa. He met some officials here. But what is quite definite – the head of the Investigative Committee reported to me this morning – is they have already begun a preliminary investigation into this event. And it will be carried out in full, and taken right to the end. There are no doubts about this.
Let’s see what the investigators say in the near future. And now, expert examinations, technical examinations and genetic ones are being carried out. This takes some time.”

Putin’s statement reminded me of another disaster that was also initially blamed on Putin by anonymous U.S. intelligence officials: the Nordsteam pipeline bombings. Then (as now) Putin’s initial comments were refrained and professional, promising updates after an investigation.

And we all know how that one turned out.

πŸ”₯ Finally, Fox News ran another encouraging, anti-establishment, counter-revolutionary story Tuesday headlined, β€œChicago area teacher fired after parents erupt over social media posts featuring ‘Satan worship,’ ‘psychosis’.” The sub-headline added, β€œThe Illinois grade school art teacher said on social media he’d been ‘violent’ during ‘psychosis and mania’ episodes.”

Until very recently, Kristopher β€œKris” Martin was an elementary art teacher who taught at four different elementary schools on a rotating basis in Illinois’ Homer Community Consolidated School District.

Early last week, Libs of TikTok started a parental firestorm by tweeting a collection of images from the Kris’s social media accounts, β€˜hints’ of trouble that the school district’s background checkers somehow missed, including this one where Kris literally hailed Satan:

image 4.png

Of course, Mr. Martin is an open transsexual who insists that other people use ungrammatical she/her pronouns. And not coincidentally, according to his own social media bio, he suffers from some pretty profound mental illnesses too:

image 5.png

Psychosis is a tough one. People afflicted with psychosis often hear voices telling them to do things, are unable to separate reality from their fantasies, and otherwise act much like they were possessed by Old Testament demons.

Other social media posts depicted literal Satan worship. Some included references to violence, such as β€œKill the Poor,” or directed profanities at police. It was not a good look for the school district, and altogether added up to enough red flags that Kris should never have been within a hundred yards of a school, much less teaching art to elementary kids.

Anyway, parents were not amused after finding out about the teacher’s demonic posts.  On Sunday, in an emergency meeting that drew large crowds of parents, the School Board unanimously voted to immediately fire the art teacher. Good thinking.

But parents remain upset, wondering how the district’s background screening process failed so badly in this case.

This story is not over.

The firing of the satanic, wokecompetent teacher took less than a week from the time parents, alerted by Libs of TikTok’s initial post, began researching the teacher’s social media accounts. A fact not lost on parents was that they had to do what should have been the school board’s due diligence work. But the story shows that parents are starting to get the idea, and that it’s getting harder for psychos to successfully nestle into woke gender identity politics.

And so the counter-revolution wins another battle. Be encouraged.
