Good morning, C&C, itβs Thursday! Owing largely to a short week (we celebrate Good Friday), Iβm a little pressed for time this morning and so we will focus the roundup on a few developing stories: states begin pushing back on squatter epidemic, including in some surprising places, as government mostly fails everywhere but Florida; Kate Middletonβs tragic cancer diagnosis is giving corporate mediaβs narrative spinners an excuse to try to baffle their readers about the post-pandemic epidemic of young turbo cancer β but WE arenβt baffled; and the latest fake-news media narrative about illegals is instantly debunked with a single image.
ππ¬ WORLD NEWS AND COMMENTARY π¬π
π₯ Youβve seen all the articles, you canβt miss them; itβs just the hottest political issue in the country right now. As a side-effect of Bidenβs mass illegal migration, the country is currently experiencing an infestation of house stealing, euphemistically called squatting. In New York, swarms of border-jumping squatters are busily throwing housewarming parties, and gifting each other lightly-used lamps, assorted home decor, night tables, small items of furniture, toaster ovens, and various small appliances.
(Lolβ all Google returns from a search for pictures of squatters is white hippy kids. As if.)
To Biden, the story is industrious, beetle-like, squatting migrants yearning to be free have solved the housing crisis! Now they are βproductiveβ county residents, industriously working on their campaign signs to run for local offices like sheriff and supervisor of elections.
Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. And your house-stealing squatters. Especially those ones.
But the truth is, just like with termites, if you donβt regularly inspect your property, one day you could suddenly find it completely infested. And squatters are even harder to get rid of than bedbugs.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurial, problem-solving Americans are hanging shingles for their new squatter pest control businesses, like the βSquatter Squad.β Bless the small businessmen! They are just like the guys who pry nests of raccoons out of the attic:
Where is government? Our useless, diversity-promoted officials are singing songs to each other about fairness and equity, and basically doing nothing helpful to solve the squatting crisis. But hardworking, tax paying, law-abiding American citizens have been finding other ways to help each other and work around the deadweight politicians.
For instance, people have been uploading helpful βhow toβ videos to social media, like: βI Evict Airbnb Squatters Every Time with this Trickβ, βHe will squat with your squatters until they leave!β, or βSquatting on the Squatter.β
Personally, Iβm working on my new Youtube video, βThree Weird Tricks for Controlling Squatting Pests.β
It would be more accurate to say that local officials are useless everywhere except Florida. In Florida, our state officials are not useless. Yesterday Governor DeSantis signed HB621, an anti-squatting bill, which sailed through the Florida legislature unanimously. (Disclaimer: I may be a teeny bit biased, since I helped with drafting, and since it was originally filed by my terrific state senator Keith Perry). In his press conference yesterday, the Governor announced that Florida is βending the squatter scam once and for all.β
CLIP: Governor DeSantis announces signing anti-squatting bill (1:58).
Floridaβs new law, effective immediately, lets homeowners call the county sheriff for immediate squatter removal. It made squatting into a second-degree felony, along with intentionally damaging someone elseβs home (more than $1,000 worth), and itβs now a first-degree felony to sell or lease someone elseβs property. It made forging a fake lease into a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year of jail. The bill also makes courts expedite any squatter-related civil proceedings, in case the sheriff canβt figure out whoβs telling the truth or something.
The fact the anti-squatter bill passed unanimously revealed much about the countryβs unhappy and increasingly implacable mood. I met with a local candidate this week who asked me if I thought the open border was a deliberate strategy cooked up by some secret cabal of our enemies. βOnly if they are brain-damaged,β I answered.
If they are buying open-border votes, the political cost of this migrant invasion is already incalculably high and is just getting higher.
Blue state readers, while happy for Floridians, Iβm sure, remain chagrined over their own poor prospects for fighting the squatting scourge. But take hope! WRE News ran a story late last week headlined, βBill Introduced to Remove Squatter Rights in New York.β State Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz (R) filed a very simple bill re-defining the term βtenantsβ under New York law to specifically exclude βsquatters.β That would let New York police act immediately against home invading squatters, who currently enjoy the vast protections of New Yorkβs insanely generous tenant protection laws.
The simple way Assemblyman Blumencranz drafted his bill is pretty genius. It makes things very uncomplicated. New York democrats now must publicly choose whether or not house-stealing squatters are, indeed, βtenantsβ who deserve the same legal protections as people with valid leases.
If Florida is any indication, there may not be much argument. And if it can happen in New York, it can happen anywhere. Well. Maybe not California. Or Portland. Definitely not Portland.
As we sail on from the sordid squatter story, ask yourself this question: in 250 years of American history, why has squatting never before been this large a problem? Let me know what you think in the comments.
π The latest corporate media to co-opt Princess Kateβs cancer into its thematic hook was CNN, which yesterday ran its own young-cancer story (framed as an op-ed) headlined, βOncologist: Kateβs diagnosis is part of a troubling trend.β No kidding. But it was the same fake-news bull puckey weβve seen in many other articles this week.
CNN even cited the same 1990-2019 cancer study that all the other fake-news articles did (though CNN also added a JAMA study, which also conveniently ends in 2019). Apparently cancer research ended in 2019, at least as far as they know.
Remember, the white-coated medical fetishists defending the jabs, including CNNβs op-ed author, fanatically argue thereβs no such thing as turbo cancer! But try describing this paragraph from CNNβs article without using the words βturbo cancer:β
During the past week alone, I saw a 37-year-old with breast cancer that had already metastasized to her lymph nodes, bones, lung and liver. In the room next door was a 45-year-old with colon cancer that had spread so diffusely throughout the liver that it had become packed and enlarged with the tumors. Both patients had stage IV cancers that can potentially be controlled for a finite time but are no longer curable.
So, not only is this jab-happy oncologist seeing lots of young people presenting with old-people cancers, they are also presenting in Stage 4, post-metastases. Iβd like to know what he calls that, if itβs something besides turbo cancer.
Responding to all those cancerous corporate media limited hangouts this week, yesterday the feisty Washington Times ran a mirror op-ed by Pierre Kory, also about the young cancer epidemic, headlined βPrincess Catherine is one of many more young adults with cancer.β I usually donβt report from conservative media, so as not to create a conservative echo chamber, but this story was such a good example it required comment.
The Washington Timesβ op-ed followed the same general outline as did the clone army of awful, duplicative, narrative-bending, limited hangout, fake-news stories weβve seen spreading through corporate media this week about what even they admit is an βepidemicβ of young cancers. But whereas the corporate media versions all capped their data in 2019, so as to avoid throwing any shade on the miracle injections, the Washington Timesβs story focused on much more useful post-2021 data.
In other words, the Washington Times actually informed its readers, instead of contributing to their early dementia like CNN, the Guardian, and the Telegraph have.
If you want to understand the real reason why corporate media is suddenly freaking out, consider these βyoung cancerβ facts reported in the Washington Timesβ article. Itβs not because of cancer trends between 1990 and 2019:
- In 2021, colorectal cancer suddenly shot from fourth place to the leading cause of cancer death in men under 50. It leapt to second place in women.
- Young adult oral and liver cancer deaths spiked since 2021. So did deadly cervical tumors in women ages 30 through 44, which tellingly reversed βdecades of declineβ β not a long, slow increase as corporate media would have you believe. Itβs the exact opposite.
- According to the CDCβs heavily manipulated data, between pre-pandemic 2019 and 2023, across all ages, cancer deaths rose by +2%. And in young people aged 15 to 44 years, cancer mortality rose twice as fast, to +4%.
- Some cancers had mortality increases far exceeding +2% and +4%. Deaths from the aforementioned colorectal cancer rose +17% in the 15-to-44 group, four times the population-wide increase.
- Uterine cancer deaths shot up +37% among 25-to-44-year-olds between 2019 and 2023; they rose +15% overall (all ages).
- Whatever they want to call it, more and more oncologists are seeing what we would call βturbo cancer.β The Timesβ article quoted William Dahut, the American Cancer Societyβs chief scientific officer, who said βColorectal cancers are presenting with more aggressive disease and larger tumors at diagnosis, which is more difficult to treat.β
- Instead of citing out-of-date cancer studies ending in 2019, the Times cited recent studies, like a new preprint study of U.S. data, which found cancer deaths among 15-to-44-year-olds had βaccelerated substantiallyβ in 2021, over +6% above baseline, and then surged in a single year to +8% in 2022.
- The Times cited another recent study from the United Kingdom finding βhighly statistically significantβ increases in cancer mortality in the same 15-to-44 age group during 2021 and 2022.
- It is so weird how none of the bigger corporate media platforms can seem to find these newer studies. They appear lost in time back in the pre-pandemic era. Maybe we should feel sympathy since corporate media reporters are probably getting harassed by scary Sleestacks, like the time-traveling Marshall family from the Land of the Lost.
Arr! No cancer research after 2019 or weβll eat you! And never say βjab!β
The Timesβ facts are just some of the parts we know about. But the CDC gets the raw data from states and large insurance networks, and we never get to see that raw data until it has been massaged and βimprovedβ by CDCβs data controllers. So the CDC knows. This week, Kateβs cancer unlocked a storm of βyoung cancer epidemicβ stories.
But sure, letβs all pretend the cancer epidemic cause is baffling and mysterious and has been creeping up behind us for decades without anyone noticing. La la la!
Who cares what caused it? What difference, at this point, does it make? The important thing is what to do about it!
Yeah, but the problem is we need to stop jabbing everybody whoβll sit still long enough. Like poor, uninformed college kids who arenβt paying attention and just want to go to class.
Finally, Iβll leave you with this thought: What else do 15-to-44 year olds have in common, different from other groups? Well, theyβre the working age cohort. In other words, they are the ones most likely to have run into the propeller blades of an employment or school-related jab mandate. Iβm just saying.
π₯ Watch out! A new fake-news narrative is burbling up from the mediaβs septic tank, this one about outbreaks of old diseases. I can explain the narrative shift with one single over-under image (h/t End Wokeness):
Donβt worry! The media will make sure these new, third-world, old-disease outbreaks in the U.S. will always remain a baffling mystery. Because doing science means saying whatever the government grant-givers tell you to say.
Science! Shut up about those migrants!
Have a terrific Thursday, and migrate back here tomorrow for more C&C goodness, where you can squat as much as you like without getting Squatter-Squashed.
