Good morning, C&C, and welcome to the Weekend Edition! It’s Saturday. Your weekend “great news” roundup includes: trans-friendly Bud Light executive falls from grace; Newsom sends National Guard to San Fran, sort of; Montreal’s vax-happy mayor strokes out; Jamie Foxx still in the hospital and not making his movie; Hunter’s lawyers try preemptive meeting with Delaware’s Attorney General; Grandma Garland fingered as the alleged meddler; corporate media breaks story about Antony Blinken meddling in Hunter Biden case; Joe Biden too cheap to pay for Twitter verification badge; New York Times bemoans Montana misgendering crimes against goofily-named trans legislator; court orders JPMorgan CEO to answer depo questions about Jeffrey Epstein; Mississippi judge orders state to accept religious vaccine exemptions; and Dr. McCullough explains why anti-vaxxers are now a formidable political bloc.

📉 Ad Age ran a predictable story yesterday headlined, “Bud Light’s Marketing Leadership Undergoes Shakeup After Dylan Mulvaney Controversy.” The sub-headline explained, “Alissa Heinerscheid, who has led the brand since June, takes leave of absence and is replaced by Budweiser global marketing VP Todd Allen.”
Miss Heinerscheid, pictured above, is not smiling now. But, before being given some time off to reflect on what went wrong (an inexplicable conundrum she continues wrestling with), she had been working on some more terrific ideas for the beleaguered brand. She was thinking something like maybe a Bud-Light sponsored photoshoot of plus-sized models in micro-bikinis? Wait! It would be even better if they were all bearded! Bold, bearded, blubbery, beachwear beauties hopped up on Bud Light!
That’s six B’s right there!
But for some reason, Miss Heinerscheid’s new marketing pitch failed to grip the corporate imagination, and according to Ad Age, the Big Beer Brewer brought in new brand bosses at Bud Light.
Ad Age explained Beer Business Daily first reported the news. I did not make that one up, I promise.
Bud Light is a battered brand. What can I tell you? Blunders by breweries bleed bucks from buyers.
Okay, okay, I’ll stop!
Ironically, in a podcast recorded right before the Trans Spokesgirl controversy erupted, Heinerscheid denounced Bud Light’s previous marketing campaigns as too “fratty” and “out of touch,” and suggested the brand could use more “inclusivity.” Hence the fake girl for a fake beer. Apparently, but unknown to Miss Heinerscheid at the time, her idea of “inclusivity” didn’t include herself, who is now the one who is “out of touch.”
🔥 I bet you didn’t see THIS coming. The San Francisco Chronicle ran a story yesterday headlined, and I am not making this up, “S.F. Fentanyl Crisis: Newsom Directs CHP and National Guard to Combat Drug Dealing in City.”
That’s what happens when you leave your state for a couple days to go on a blitz trip to criticize OTHER governors’ policies. All Hades breaks out and then you have to call in the National Guard.
Governor Newsom announced the new policing plan yesterday. Earlier in the week, Newsom, California AG Rob Bonta, and Mayor London Breed’s top staffer toured the Tenderloin, taking in the turmoil and talking through the city’s tragic fentanyl troubles.
The Tenderloin and South Market districts are the epicenters of the city’s out-of-control drug and homelessness crises, with people openly dealing and using drugs on sidewalks in broad daylight. The latest figures show a 41% annual jump in overdoses in the city just in the first three months of this year, with 200 people dying from drugs between January and March alone.
Newsom explained, “Through this new collaborative partnership, we are providing more law enforcement resources and personnel to crack down on crime linked to the fentanyl crisis, holding the poison peddlers accountable, and increasing law enforcement presence to improve public safety and public confidence in San Francisco.”
Poison peddlers; that’s pretty good.
According to the Chronicle, progressives are already protesting that the city is prosecuting a failed war on drugs that won’t fix people’s poison consuming problems. But moderates — including many residents and business owners — have been steadily voting in replacement officials who promise more drug prosecutions.
At some point, the rubber of reality has to meet the road, doesn’t it? Could it be that San Francisco’s long, disgusting experiment with stealth drug de-criminalization is finally drawing to a dramatic conclusion?
Maybe not. Newsom’s news release explained the new law-enforcement partnership “will not seek to criminalize those struggling with substance use and instead focus on holding drug suppliers and traffickers accountable.”
Keep doing the same things and get SOME kind of result, I can’t remember.
💉 Montreal mayor Denis Coderre, 59 who architected covid jab mandates for all city employees, experienced a sudden and unexpected Fetterman-like strokeout on April 15th. Tax day.
Oh wait, he’s not in the U.S. So I guess it wasn’t tax day after all. And yes, I know it was extended this year. Don’t wreck the gag.
The stroke, which the media called “mild,” has impaired the Mayor’s speech.
Last Monday, Montreal’s former mayor messaged on social media that he’d suffered a mild stroke. In his Facebook post, he said he experienced warning signs, including the speech impairment and half-body numbness, and got himself to the hospital.
None of the stories speculated on the cause of Coderre’s brain injury, and media has about his current condition since last Tuesday. As far as I can tell, Coderre remains in the hospital.
He should’ve taken the saline one.
💉 Weeks after his “medical incident,” Hollywood A-lister Jamie Foxx remains in the hospital. We don’t know much about his condition, except according to a short People Magazine update yesterday, a “source” told reporters that Foxx is doing “okay. He’s still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he’s awake and alert. They’re keeping him under observation.”
So they STILL haven’t figured out what happened.
Next on the schedule should be Foxx’s two-month holiday in detox or for depression treatment or something. Then he can announce retiring because of something he saw in his ’24 And Me’ results.
I’m joking of course (mostly); we are all praying Jamie fully recovers as soon as possible.
But meanwhile his new Netflix movie “Back in Action” is not getting made. Another jab victim.
🔥 CNN ran a story yesterday headlined, “EXCLUSIVE: Hunter Biden Lawyers to Meet With Justice Department Officials Next Week as Scrutiny of Investigation Intensifies.”
CNN reported that according to “sources familiar with the investigation,” Delaware’s Attorney General Office’s prosecutors are still weighing whether to bring charges against Hunter. Previous reports suggested it would be two misdemeanor charges for failure to file taxes, one count of felony tax evasion related to the overreporting of expenses, and a false statement charge regarding a gun purchase.
But that’s corporate media’s take. Nobody knows what the Delaware Attorney General is really up to; the Delaware office has had a perfect non-leaking record.
The scheduled meeting comes right as Hunter’s legal probe is back in the spotlight, after an IRS supervisory special agent reached out to Congress this week through an attorney, saying he had information about mishandling and political meddling in the case. While the letter to Congress did not name Hunter (since that could violate privacy laws), another “source familiar with the matter” told CNN that the case is in fact the same one involving Joe Biden’s son.
The IRS agent wants whistleblower status so he can safely share his information with Congress.
The special agent also said he had information contradicting US Attorney General Garland’s testimony before Congress, according to CNN’s source. Grandma Garland testified in March that “I have pledged not to interfere with that investigation, and I have carried through on my pledge.”
Hunter Biden’s political allies are already attacking the anonymous IRS agent’s motives, claiming that, even if the whistleblower does have evidence of the investigation being mishandled, it would just be about government misconduct and not anything bad about innocent, lamblike Hunter Biden.
🔥 Another developing Hunter story is even breaking into corporate media, alleging that Biden’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken organized the deep state coverup of the Hunter Biden laptop story right before the 2020 elections.
That would explain how the pathetically-unqualified Blinken got his job.
There are conflicting claims about whether recently-unsealed deposition transcripts do, or do not, actually implicate Blinken, and at the time of writing this, I just couldn’t nail it down either way. But it seems unlikely to me — at best — that CBS would run a story this critical of Blinken if it weren’t part of some kind of a limited hangout.
If the story does get legs, it could result in Blinken’s removal, which might be a super good thing for preserving Planet Earth’s non-radioactive status and its ability to support life as we know it. Stay tuned.
🔥 Lefties experienced another satisfying dose of outrage yesterday as Twitter purged Joe Biden’s account of his free Twitter badge.
You’d think with all that Chinese seed money Joe could afford $8 a month. But I get it, times are tight.
Can you imagine what it must be like for leftists to be this invested in that little blue circle on Twitter, the one that simply shows you’re a paying subscriber and actually has nothing whatsoever to do with woke virtue signaling?
If you can, your imagination is MUCH better than mine.
🔥 Even more lefty outrage ensued yesterday as the New York Times ran a completely disingenuous story yesterday headlined, “Republicans Call for Censure of Transgender Lawmaker Who Condemned Care Ban.” The sub-headline explained, “Rep. Zooey Zephyr, a Democratic state representative in Montana, pleaded for her colleagues to reject a bill that would ban transition care for transgender minors. Republicans misgendered her and called for her to be censured.”
Not misgendering! Not again! My gosh! The horror.
The made-up thought crime of “misgendering” occurs when a person uses proper English and correctly refers to someone using biologically-accurate pronouns like “he” or “she,” instead of awkwardly using made-up, irrational nonsense words the subject orders everyone to say instead. But I digress.

Also, I would have said, “if that’s his real name,” except that “Zooey Zephyr” is already a self-parody, obviously some kind of anime or porn star stage-name.
Montana’s legislature voted to approve a bill banning the genital mutilation of minors — which the Times euphemistically called “care” — saying that denying grotesque medical experiments on kids was “tantamount to torture.” Mr. Zephyr wildly accused the legislators of having “blood on your hands.”
The Montana Freedom Caucus (a group of conservative lawmakers) responded by accusing Ms. Zephyr in a letter of “attempting to shame the legislative body” by using “hateful rhetoric.” The letter, which demanded the trans lawmaker be censured, and which correctly referred to Mr. Zephyr’s conduct as HIS behavior, totally triggered the New York Times.
Although not mentioned in the Times’ article, late on Wednesday Representative Zephyr was de facto censured by Montana’s Legislature for hateful and uncivil speech on the floor. According to local media, Zephyr will not be permitted to speak on the floor again until he apologizes for his comments.
Montana House Speaker Matt Reiger explained, “It is up to me to maintain decorum here on the House floor, to protect the dignity and integrity. And any representative that I don’t feel can do that will not be recognized.”
On Thursday, the Republican-controlled House passed another bill defining sex as binary, depending on whether a person produces eggs or sperm, and if passed would apply those definitions to 40 separate sections of Montana law. True to his words, Speaker Reiger refused to recognize Mr. Zephyr during Thursday’s debate on the bill.
During this week’s session, Montana legislators considered or approved several other great bills, including a parental rights bill, an amendment to an online privacy bill that prohibiting the distribution of drag shows online, and an education bill requiring written consent from parents to use a child’s alternative preferred names or pronouns — but exempts teachers from having to use them.
Pretty crazy times. This is terrific work from Montana which — like Florida — has drawn a thick red line between all this insanity and our children.
We’re simply not going there.
🔥 In very encouraging legal news, the UK Guardian ran a story headlined, “JPMorgan CEO To Be Deposed Over Bank’s Relation With Jeffrey Epstein.” The sub-headline added, “Federal judge has ordered Jamie Dimon to set aside two days for questioning with regards to the sex offender and former client.”
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that JPMorgan CEO Dimon isn’t looking forward to those two days of deposition. Maybe next time they’ll think twice before cuddling with the deep state’s child trafficking coordinator.
The suit against the banking giant was filed by several women claiming that Epstein sexually abused them at his idyllic island sex resort, and with a companion suit by the US Virgin Islands, where the deep state’s blackmail mule Epstein kept another home.
The gist of the survivors’ lawsuit is that Epstein continued to be a significant JPMorgan client between 2000 and 2013, even after pleading guilty in 2008 to a Florida state prostitution charge. The suit accused the bank of knowing by at least 2006 that Epstein was using the bank to fund the purchase of underage girls and young women who were trafficked to his Caribbean home, and of ignoring multiple internal warnings to cut ties with the disgusting child rapist and international sex trafficker.
While denying the bank had any idea of what was going on, how could it?, JPMorgan is also simultaneously trying to shift the blame onto its former private banking chief Jes Staley — a regular Epstein Island visitor — claiming Staley hid what he knew about Epstein, and should be the one who has to pay any damages in the two lawsuits.

Under the law, even if CEO Dimon didn’t himself actually know what was going on, as he claims, the bank could still be liable for negligently supervising its sexually-adventuresome top manager Staley, if the bank could with reasonable diligence have discovered the truth of the grotesque facts.
The survivors said hey, Epstein’s 2008 conviction could have been a clue.
Who knows what will happen, but it’s encouraging that these revolting criminals are being forced to publicly answer questions about their misconduct.
💉 In more great legal news, late this week Fox News ran a story (largely unreported by corporate media) headlined, “Judge: Mississippi Must Allow Religious Exemption From School Vaccine Requirements.”
On Monday, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction requiring the State of Mississippi to allow school children a religious exemption from any or all of the state’s mandated vaccines.
In its order, the Court explained that Mississippi’s 44-year-old current law — which forbids religious exemptions — violates the First Amendment, because it allows medical exemptions to school vaccine mandates but not religious exemptions. In other words, it unconstitutionally favors secular conduct (medical exemptions) over religious conduct (religious exemptions).
Per the order, Mississippi must create and implement a religious exemption process and publish it on Mississippi DOH website by July 15th, 2023.
The terrific lawsuit was litigated by ICAN, and led by super-lawyer Aaron Siri.
🔥 Regular readers will immediately recognize Dr. Peter McCullough’s point, made in a recent Shannon Joy interview, and previously discussed here on C&C. The heroic covid doc explained that, according to a solid recent study, the real numbers of American adults that somehow avoided jabbing was actually 25%, not 8% like the CDC claims.
And 25% of adults — obstinate, passionate, and more than a little chafed at being prodded with needles every time they turned around in 2021 — that 25% group forms a monolithic, single-issue voting bloc, if some politician is smart enough to take advantage of it.
In other words, given that — even in a presidential election cycle — only 60% of Americans vote, we are THIS CLOSE to becoming an Anti-Vaxx Nation. Assuming the morons in charge don’t blast us back into the Stone Age, that is, I know, that’s a pretty big assumption, but if we somehow survive the next couple years, there WILL be a reckoning.
