Good morning and Happy Monday, C&C! Your roundup includes: Florida newspaper wins the award for most hilarious vaccine headline; Elon Musk breaks twitter and leftist brains with his most triggering tweet ever; the Eighth Circuit joins the Fifth Circuit in banning another goofy Biden mandate; Time Magazine’s most absurd Man of the Year, ever; and another cardiologist comes out in favor of halting covid jabs.

💉 It’s over. The Tampa Bay Times just won Coffee & Covid’s Funniest Headline of 2022 award, for its December 8th story headlined “More Deaths Among Vaccinated Americans Not a Reason to Avoid Vaccines, Experts Say.” Haha, experts! Good one. The sub-headline — and I am not making this up — said, “It actually underscores the importance of staying up-to-date on boosters.”

Comedy gold! I didn’t even have to wait out the rest of the month. Nothing could possibly top that headline/subheadline duo.

The story refers to the latest CDC numbers which, despite the overfunded agency’s best efforts to camouflage, obfuscate, and deceive, are finally showing that covid is killing more jabbed people than unjabbed people. You might recall a recent Washington Post headline about the story that we discussed a couple weeks ago: “Covid is no longer mainly a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Here’s why.”

As a reminder, WaPo hired the Kaiser Foundation, which found that, as of August 2022, 58% of total deaths from covid-19 were vaccinated people compared with only 42% of unvaccinated people.

If you ask the Ethical Skeptic, the now-unobscurable bump in virus-related death figures was caused by the CDC quietly re-directing mushrooming cancer and cardiac deaths into the covid death category. In other words, Skeptic would say the CDC decided the best way to prop up the jabs was to recharacterize the spiking numbers of jab injury fatalities as covid-related deaths.

Either way, the new numbers left the white-coated propagandists in a narrative pickle. They had to come up with a way to explain this awkward development to the credulous fools who trusted them and got the shots, believing the shots would completely protect them from serious disease and death. In other words, believing exactly what they were told.

The experts have decided to brash their way through.

“The truth is we always knew we would see a growing proportion of vaccinated individuals among our COVID admissions,” bragged Dr. Shira Doron, an infectious disease doc and resident Tufts epidemiologist. Bwahahahahahaha! Either Dr. Moron — sorry, I mean Dr. Doron — either she just gave away a gigantic secret they’ve been keeping from everybody until JUST NOW, or they’re just making stuff up as they go along at this point.

“We always knew the vaccine wouldn’t stop the transmission!” (That’s why we told you it WOULD stop the transmission.)

“We always knew the vaccinated would die in larger numbers!” (That’s why we told you if you took the shot, you WOULDN’T die.)

“Nothing surprises us! Nothing! Science is omniscient! And godlike! Worship us!”

Fortunately the article did find a culprit, something tangible on which to blame the vaccinated deaths. I’ll give you one guess what it was. That’s right! They blamed the vaccinated covid deaths on THE VACCINATED. Folks aren’t boosting fast enough. So it’s THEIR OWN FAULT. And worse, it’s embarrassing the experts.

I would mock the people who read the Tampa Bay Times except that, based on the pathetic booster uptake numbers, even those poor, deluded folks aren’t buying the experts’ bat guano anymore. At this point, the experts are essentially just talking to themselves, like straightjacketed 19th century asylum lunatics maniacally babbling after their 203rd electroshock treatment.

🔥 Elon Musk almost broke Twitter by instantly triggering every virtue-signaling intellectual leftist on the platform yesterday. He did this in one short sentence fragment that simultaneously mocked woke trans politics and also jabbed a dagger straight into the heart of leftists’ bobbleheaded medical idol. Here’s the tweet:

Elon Musk @elonmusk

As you can see from the stats, it went over BIG. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a tweet with over ONE MILLION LIKES before. But not the experts. The experts were outraged. I could show you a list of several dozen tweets from badly triggered covid experts, but in the interest of time, here’s just one disgraceful example:

Prof Peter Hotez MD PhD @PeterHotez

For the record: Dr. Fauci has done nothing wrong, except serve our nation. In the meantime, Mr. Musk should know that 200,000 Americans needlessly lost their lives from Covid due to this kind of antiscience rhetoric and disinformation. Elon, I’m asking you to take down this Tweet

But, vox populi!

A smaller but significant sub-thread speculated at Musk’s motives. Why would he say this? Is it part of a limited hangout? Why was Musk so inflammatory and provocative?

I’m not sure, but maybe this morning’s tweet gives us a clue:

As I blogged yesterday, it was the pandemic that “red pilled” Elon Musk. Pre-covid, Elon Musk was a lifelong democrat. LIFELONG. He LOVED living in California with all the other virtuous people. But Musk just voted Republican for the first time in his life in the most recent election cycle.

Musk’s conversion is easily traced to when he got mugged by California after it shut down his car factory — even though “energy companies” were supposedly designated “essential” under the state’s health regulations. After he filed a lawsuit, a California politician tweeted that Musk should go “F” himself.

At enormous personal and financial expense, Musk moved the whole shebang to Texas and changed teams. Buh bye. Thanks, drooling, overreaching bureaucrats.

I realize some folks retain honest skepticism about the billionaire entrepreneur, for plenty of good reasons. But, we can take our wins where we find them, can’t we?

Either way, you can’t PAY for this kind of entertainment.

🔥 In more good news, the National Review ran a story Friday headlined, “Federal Court Blocks Biden Mandate Forcing Religious Hospitals to Facilitate Gender Transitions.”

More Biden mandates! Well, more BLOCKED Biden mandates.

Section 1557 of Obama’s Affordable Care Act prohibits federally funded health programs from denying benefits on the basis of ‘sex’ — as defined in Title IX. Recently the Biden administration issued a revised rule expanding Title IX’s definition of ‘sex’ to include transgender people, thereby requiring religious hospitals to provide castration and other extreme body mutilation services, sorry, I mean “gender-affirming care.”

But on Friday, the Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed a lower court’s decision blocking enforcement of the rule, saying “intrusion upon the Catholic Plaintiffs’ exercise of religion is sufficient to show irreparable harm.” The court rejected Biden’s lawyers’ argument that the Sisters of Mercy who filed the case lacked standing because the Administration hadn’t enforced the rule “yet.”

The new decision reinforced an August order out of the Fifth Circuit, which also permanently blocked the government from forcing Christian doctors and hospitals to provide gender-confirming care to transgender people. Administration sources say Biden isn’t planning to appeal.

What would Biden do without mandates? What would the LEFT do without mandates? They’d have to play with themselves. Sometimes I think this can all be traced back to traumatic childhood experiences where leftists wished their parents would make other kids play with them.

🔥 Time magazine hilariously ran its “Person of the Year” edition this month, honoring slapstick-comedian Zelensky and “the Spirit of Ukraine.”

There’s so much to work with here. First of all, I wonder if Zelensky resents that Time obviously didn’t feel like he was enough all by himself, and they needed to add the Spirit of Ukraine. Maybe he’s too short or something.

Second, the “Spirit of Ukraine?” What’s that? When can the Spirit of Ukraine pick up its award? Will Time need a séance or a Ouija board to let the Spirit of Ukraine know it has won?

It was dumb enough that Time changed the “Man of the Year” to the “Person of the Year.” But a “spirit” of the year? I think they’re talking about Ukrainians’ virtuous feelings of grit or persistence or nationalistic fervor or something. But Time definitely means a “feeling.”

Is the Spirit of Ukraine the “Feeling of the Year?”

Finally, and best of all, Time gave Zelensky devil horns, by placing the “M” in “Time” right behind and above the grifter’s head. Do you believe that was unintentional? Or did a graphic designer maybe pull one over on the editors, and make a surreptitious comment about Zelensky’s demonic character?

🔥 Another cardiologist has followed Dr. Aseem Malhotra and is calling for a halt to covid vaccines, due to injuries. Dr. Dean Patterson has also adopted Dr. Malhotra’s brilliant formula, opining that given the levels of KNOWN cardiac side effects and other safety signals, the shots should be considered the cause of injury until proven safe.

The doctors’ proposed standard — unsafe until proven safe — is a keen shift in the burden of proof. It makes perfect sense. The jab makers should be the ones who have to prove their drugs are safe, not the other way around. It’s not doctors’ duty to prove the drugs are harmful, not when there are clear safety signals.

Dr. Patterson thinks we need a serious investigation into vaccine adverse events, which is an understatement. At this point, there should be an investigation into why there’s no investigation. Anyway, the doctors seem to be on to something, a very useful narrative twist. Hopefully this new mind worm will continue spreading.

Have a magnificent Monday! I’ll be back tomorrow with another delicious roundup.
